Clarisonic not charging

I have a Clarisonic, the original kind that sits in the cradle charger, that will no longer charge reliably. It takes forever to charge, and even when the light is solid green may only work for a few seconds. If anyone has had this problem, has it been the unit itself or the charger? If it's the charger, can replacement cradles be purchased? Or, is it just time to buy a new one?

Thanks in advance!

I'd call Clarisonic CS. How old is yours? I have had my Mia close to 3 yrs and it works perfectly. For what Clarisonics cost I expect them to last many years.

call Clarisonic customer service. They are terrific and will send you out a new one right away if it is broken.

When my first clarisonic quit charging, I called customer service and they told me it was only covered for three years, mine was older. I bought a new one.

Hey there,

I have a Mia bought back in March 2010 from QVC and have the same problem you do re charging the unit. So I just spoke with a Clarisonic representative, who was just phenomenal, and explained the situation. Long story short, they are sending me a new unit minus the charger for $63 (taxes included) along with free S&H. I am very pleased considering I don't have to purchase an entire set for $120 or so. Give them a call: they'll troubleshoot with you and try to work with you to resolve the situation and also give you tips on how to prevent future issues.

Thanks, all. I couldn't tell you when I bought it. It was a TSV, but it's been awhile. Mostly just curious if anyone else had experienced this. I checked teh Clarisonic site and you can buy a charger (though it wouldn't be pink!) but I don't know if it's a problem with the charger or the unit itself. I'll call the company from home with the product numbers.

Thanks for the input!

My Clarisonic Plus, that I ordered as a TSV, March of 2011, stopped charging last week. I just called Clarisonic customer service, and they are sending a replacement plus a charger.

Thanks for creating this post, as I probably would have just bought another unit.

Mine was not that new...maybe 3 years old?? I'm not sure, but based on the code on the handset, I was out of warranty. NOt free, but I did order both a new charging unit and hand set from Clarisonic at a reduced price. The representative I talked to said it sounded like it was the charger that was bad, but since it was that old and I had the chance, I just ordered both. Shipping is slow though...but should be on my front porch when I get home this afternoon.

There customer service was so helpful...really a pleasure to deal with.
