How can I get rid of age spots on my hands?

I can't find anything that works. I've tried natural products too.

Try lemon peel bioferment from ncn skincare with a lightstim/DPL if you have one.

I had mine frozen off with liquid nitrogen at the Dermatologist's office.

I may not be perfect, but some parts of me are pretty awesome.

I imagine this will be disregarded, because it's not a $150 an ounce product, but I use aloe vera gel.

I use it on my face and neck/throat every day anyway but one time, a few years ago, I noticed I was starting to get some brown spots on my hands so I just make a point to rub the aloe into the tops of my hands after I do my face/neck and they went away. They have not yet returned.

order the 8% TCA peel from Make Up Artist Choice the sample size! I used the 18% on mine but I wouldn't recommend that starting off..look on their website, call Customer Service and ask them where to start. I used the 18% and every one of those pesky spots are gone now..I did the 18% first then followed up a few weeks later with the 8%..my hands honestly look 20 years younger from this peel..you'll have to maintain it and always use sunscreen to keep them away but I just love looking at my hands now! (i'm 56 by the way)

I'm happy to hear this, I just ordered 2 peels from Makeup Artists. That is great to know.

ITA with chickenbutt (still love your name, btw) - if it doesn't cost at least $150 an ounce, many won't be interested............ but I have to say again that I've used Joan Rivers' Absolutely Magic hand cream for several years. I'm 63 and zero brown spots on my hands.

However, I may have to try some aloe vera gel. Is it available at the drugstore? Is there a particular brand name I should look for?

Aloe Vera is a very good product for many things.

I don't know your age group so maybe you may need to consult you doctor for any medical reasons.
I dont feel comfortable sharing what I have done to the few I had but I am sure you will find a way.

Well I never! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin} Thank you so much for this info. I googled (no offense to your credibility!) and found this article that supports your claim about aloe getting rid of age spots...

http://www.skincareguide.com/article/how-to-use-aloe-vera-to-get-rid-of-age-spots.html

I've been trying various things for more than a year now (including LPB from NCN + DPL) and nothing has worked. I have an ample supply of aloe vera gel and will begin using it today. Thanks again! I'm also going to increase usage of my 20% glycolic acid peels in a pad.

tototwo...this is what I have and since the bottle is so big it lasts a long long time...Lily of the Desert Organics Skin Soothing Aloe Gel (Pure, Certified Organic Aloe Vera). Right now you'll get free shipping at vitacost with a $25 order, through April (normally it's $49).

Joan Rivers used to have a hand cream for age spots but not anymore. Seems like all she does now is the same old jacket and sunglasses.

Dharma - thanks for the info! I thought I'd see what I could find locally, but I wrote your information down.

Bonnie - I'm still able to buy JR hand cream for age spots at various websites -- I usually buy several at a time. Who knows how old they are? They still work - but I'm going to try the aloe vera stuff fer sure!

The active ingredient In JR Absolutely Magic that lightens dark spots is 2% Hydroquinone. If her cream is expensive (I didn't look to see what the price is) you can find various fade creams at the drugstore with that level of HQ in them, and possibly even 3%. Just FYI.

Just wanna mention that WalMart has a wonderful aloe vera gel, too............Fruit of the Earth is the brand. It is a large bottle for a little money!!! Guess I know what I am going to start doing now, too, instead of just using it on my face at night. Hello! I could have been putting it on my hands this whole time!!! Thank you!!!

It's tough eliminating age spots topically, and I don't really have a proven remedy... Just chiming in to suggest you try also to think more of what you are ingesting internally by way of antioxidants. I am virtually spot-free @ 58, and I attribute it to my high intake of Vit. C, teas, dark green leaves, and antioxy supplements. (Fruits fall into this category, too, but I'm not a heavy fruit eater, as much as I am a vegetable & green leaf eater.)

Instead of slathering on spf, slather on Vit C things -- rose hip seed oil has high content. I don't know if the aloe has any specific known properties to lighten age spots, but if you're going to use that, throw in a couple drops of the rose hip seed oil and see what happens over time. I think you'll love the way your skin feels, anyway.

Hi Babyb! Fruit of the Earth is my favorite brand. I often pick up a bottle or two when I have a drugstore.com order.

Does Joan still sell this product? I am going to try the gel and see if that helps too. I am older and my skin is getting thin and I would be afraid to use a strong product. Thank you ladies for all your answers.

I heard this on the Dr. Oz show yesterday so maybe give it a try. Helps to fade age spots. Blend 1 cup eggplant with ½ cup yogurt, apply to the face and leave for 20 minutes. Then wash it off. If anyone tries this please post your results. I know sooner then later I will get age spots & want something that works.

My coworker did this too, her hands looked beautiful after a few weeks of recovery time. Cost was about $250

Nadinola Cream is 3%, sold at Walmart.

Dharma - JR's cream is not that expensive. Last time I got 5 large tubes for $19.95.

However, I'm going to check out that Nadinola Cream (thanks, Shelbelle!) since it's a tiny little percent more Hydroquinone than JR's. Gotta check it out!

I used Joan River's product for a few weeks and it does lighten but it made my skin feel a bit hot. It didn't take them away completely. Maybe if I used it every night for a year. And you it would be smart to use sunscreen on your hands but who does that. I will try the Aloe. I'm 58.

Buy "Palmer's Skin Success* FADE CREAM" at Walmart. It is 2% hydroquinone plus some vitamins and sunscreen. Fantastic product. Costs less than $5.

I use it everyday. No age spots on these hands. :)
