I have seen many out there, but Im lost as to what works best and isn't $100...Ive seen high doses of vitamin C as a lightening agent and I've seen Hydroquinone used also...I want to say that the vitamin C would be less abrasive to my somewhat sensitive skin, but would that mean it's less effective?? Any thoughts? Has anybody used a product that faded darks spots and/or past acne marks? Help!!

All skin is different but I tried that M2 and it stung my skin to high heaven. Tried it again, happened again, straight in the trash it went.

A complete beauty addict who enjoys herself immensely!

Egyptian Magic is fantastic , Its way less than $100.00, and it works like magic if you are diligent enough ! My son had an accident that left a gigantic round scrape followed by a scar which covered the whole apple of his cheek...The first thing I did was apply mederma (kids) for the first month. After that ,I used the EM and the remaining scar has faded away completely over 10 months.Empty jar,no more scar !!!! I bought mine from Amazon but,I think its available @ dermstore.com as well.

Rose hips oil - worked better than serums, AHAs etc. $10(max) for 1 oz of organic rose hips oil online and available in some stores.

I wash my face and while it is still damp I put 1-2 drops of oil in my palm, "warm it up" and then just tap it over the "spots" After a few days of using it over my spots only (some mild red marks from acne/clogged pores and a few sun spots caused by birth control), I saw I did not break out so now I use it as a night serum/moisturizer. It is light should absorb relatively fast - if it stays greasy for more than 5-10 minutes then you have used too much.

I should mention that while the fading is quite obvious, it is not an overnight change. I am now on my 3rd week and while they have faded significantly they are still there. But because my skin looks more bright and even they are also less noticeable.

Hope this helps

The best thing I ever used for getting rid of acne scars and dark spots was the yolk of an egg. I had such bad acne scarring and one day a woman approached me and told me to use the yolk of an egg on my face every night for a month and then once or twice a week for maintenance. The dark spots completely disappeared. I still use it today over 20 years later.

Interesting, how exactly do you use it? put it on your face and leave it overnight?

Thank you

I used it years ago when it was known as MaMa Lotion and it stung my skin too, but the sensation subsided rather quickly. I initially used it twice weekly and then increased usage to three times a week. I used Atopalm MLE Cream with it for my PM moisturizer.
