Looking forward to trying it myself...I like BE's pressed bronzers, and I like pressed minerals in general.

After reading one of the links above the ingredient deck sounds a lot like the newest PUR Minerals foundation..I have not tried their's only the original one.

I had given up on BE several years ago, too messy and as I got older the makeup began to sit in my lines and just wasnt looking good on me anymore. But I like the new ready shadow quad I tried...and Id be willing to try the pressed foundation. Yay! Thanks for sharing!

Interesting! The only thing I heard that might be coming out (eventually) are Moxie Lipsticks. Doesn't seem huge...

I wonder if they'll have the new Whipped Velvet Long Wear Eyecolor (creamy shadow) in a doe foot tube, like in the Sephora kit...

{#emotions_dlg.mad}{#emotions_dlg.crying}{#emotions_dlg.sad} Not a good sign at all. But my wallet will thank BE and the Q.

You know if I wanted pressed then I might be tempted to switch to Laura Geller. Baked Italian stuff sounds better than baked BM. LOL I still can't like that new abbreviation. BE was better.

I SOOO am looking forward to the pressed foundation. I was in the BE store yesterday. They said it was SPF 20 and a cross between matte and the regular

I hate the loose too. It's so messy. I love the coverage, but I hate the mess and hassle. I can't wait until they get the pressed.

I'm so over the 'new stuff'. Using my stash and looking forward to loose mineral kits they might bring out at the holidays. Otherwise, no BE spending for me until then.

That answers the question I was going to ask (about the finish - matte or not). I probably will try it. May buy from QVC if it is offered in a kit at a lower price than I would have to pay at my local Bare Escentuals store. Even a duo of foundation with brush might be a good value. Otherwise, I'll get it at the store, even if I have to wait a while. (I don't know if it is supposed to be a QVC Exclusive when it first comes out.)

I just started wearing the loose again after many years away, i might quickly switch over to the pressed version

I might try it, too. I switched to liquid after years with BE because I couldn't get the finish right. I tried matt and original and found mixing it was a better result, but a pain.

Winamac: Did the BE store say when they will have the pressed? I want to try it before I recommend it to my sister. I'm currently using EL pressed powder foundation & it works really well In humid conditions like we have in Indiana. Thanks!

nonickle,

I read on FB from Leslie and Jessica, that the new concealor is suppose to help with brown spots as well. Now that sounds interesting to me!

Have we talked about the new foundation brush? It's a synthetic angled flat top ~ have a picture of it from the master class Saturday, and that's what I want, lol!!!

Not to nit-pick, but BE is very careful to refer to the Ready products as "Solid" not "Pressed." To me that means it's the product before it's milled into the loose mineral formulation we're used to seeing. Pressed would be if they take the existing stuff, add binders and waxes and whatever else, and press it into a pan. The difference is subtle, but it's there.

I'm looking forward to giving it a try, if for nothing else but travel.

very end of August--around the 30th or 31st. There is a "new" special brush that is meant to go with it--$30!! She said one "could" use the old foundation brush, but that was preferred. I don't think I want to spend $30 on another brush when I have a huge makeup case filled. I'll get the pressed from the BE store if it's the same price as the Q. I'll only buy from the Q if they offer the brush with the pressed foundation for a much lower price than the boutiques. I'm glad it's spf 20, and I'm glad it's a cross between matte and regular. I'm very excited to try this.

She also told me (the manager) that everyone needs to have their color rechecked as their shade may be different in this new formulation. Just an FYI. I found all this out Sunday.

The boutiques will be scheduling one one ones on that day or I believe on the Saturday (Sept. 1) if anyone wants to make an appt. I did not make an appt.

That's in the boutiques and on Ulta. I liked it, but I didn't buy it. It does have an spf of about 20 which is nice and comes in about 8 shades I think!

I think you are grasping at straws. There is no solid product before it is milled. The loose formulations are made from various powdered ingredients not solids. The new "solid" products are definitely pressed to get them to become pans of product. They have also added more ingredients to get them to solidify and be able to be pressed. It is really just marketing like all the found in nature, natural, malarkey. Laura Geller's products are a liquid that are poured and them baked into a hard solid form so they aren't pressed.

Here is an example of the difference in ingredients in a BE solid vs loose eyeshadow.

Solid product.....The Escape Boron Nitride, Magnesium Myristate, Lauroyl Lysine, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Lipids, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Alaria Esculenta Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Corallina Officinalis Extract, Caffeine, Borago Officinalis Seed Oil, Mica, Silica. (+/-): Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Ultramarines (Ci 77007), Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499), Bismuth Oxychloride (Ci 77163), Ferric Ferrocyanide (Ci 77510), Manganese Violet (Ci 77742), Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide (Ci 77510), Chromium Hydroxide Green (Ci 77289), Bronze Powder (Ci 77400), Copper Powder (Ci 77400), Aluminum Powder (Ci 77000), Chromium Oxide Greens (Ci 77288).

Loose product......Glitz Eyecolor: Silica, Carmine (Ci 75470) CalciumAluminum Borosilicate, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate. (+/-): Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Iron Oxides (Ci 77489, Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499), Bismuth Oxychloride (Ci 77163), Ferric Ferrocyanide (Ci 77510), Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide (Ci 77510), Manganese Violet (Ci 77742), Ultramarines (Ci 77007), Chromium Oxide Greens (Ci 77288), Chromium Hydroxide Green (Ci 77289), Kaolin (Ci 77004), Zinc Oxide (Ci 77947).
