Have You Ever Had To File An Amended Tax Form?

I did my taxes on line and sent it and it was accepted by the IRS when I printed it out it only had my info on it and not my husbands. I put my info and my husbands iso on info on and I don't know why this happened. I contacted the company and they said I would have to file an Amended form 1040X for another fee. I am so upset about this. I will have to go to an accountant to help me fix this as it looks to complicated for us to do.

Yes, I have. The 1040X is not the most user friendly form to fill out on H&R Block software but I was able to work my way through it and its why I don't do my own taxes till mid March because combined 1099Bs from brokerage houses many years have corrected copies. I didn't find it as hard as it was that one has to be pretty focused to do what it takes to prepare a 1040X.

Yes, I had to do this once. I went to H &R Block for help. It was money well spent.
