Is it acceptable to put these in with grocery bags that you return to the container in the store? TIA.

Re: Recycling Q shipping bags

Don't know. I cut off all shipping information and shred that and put the rest of the bag in the trash.

I don't think they're the kind of plastic that is recycled.

Re: Recycling Q shipping bags

When it comes to plastic, you can tell if it's recyclable if there is a number anywhere on it. Here are some examples

Bird, Maybe those symbols mean something to you but they tell me nothing.

Kachina, if you have any plastic bottles or containers laying around, look for the recycle symbol on them. Inside each recycle symbol is a number.

Some recycling centers are picky about the number inside the recycle symbol and will only accept certain numbers.

My recycling center for example will not take styrofoam, even though there is a recycle symbol on it.

Re: Recycling Q shipping bags

The Q bags just have three arrows swirling in a circle in the same direction with no number. Our trash people won't take styrofoam either. I have a Zulily bag here that appears to be similar to the Q bags and it has the above symbol with a "4" and the words, "please recycle".

Me too. I think if they can be recycled, it would state it in words.
