Is it acceptable to put these in with grocery bags that you return to the container in the store? TIA.

Don't know. I cut off all shipping information and shred that and put the rest of the bag in the trash.

When it comes to plastic, you can tell if it's recyclable if there is a number anywhere on it. Here are some examples

Kachina, if you have any plastic bottles or containers laying around, look for the recycle symbol on them. Inside each recycle symbol is a number.
Some recycling centers are picky about the number inside the recycle symbol and will only accept certain numbers.
My recycling center for example will not take styrofoam, even though there is a recycle symbol on it.

Me too. I think if they can be recycled, it would state it in words.
