January's Birds Nest - Welcoming 2015 and Friends Old and New

Among the trees is a bird's nest,
and in the nest her three eggs rest,
and in each egg, Hush, you'll be heard!
There lies asleep A tiny bird.

Morning, Bird. Happy New Year! I have an orange cat roosting in my robe right now. Does that count? {#emotions_dlg.confused1}

Good Morning Birding Friends - it's 18 degrees here - brrr {#emotions_dlg.ohmy}. I'll get used to it, I always do {#emotions_dlg.unsure}.

I spoke with my eldest sister yesterday to wish her a Happy New Year. It was good to hear that her branch of the family tree has recovered from the flu and various viruses that had been going around for a month.

I didn't make it until midnight. I toggled between Pitbull's New Year's Eve Revolution and Blue Bloods + Criminal Minds and Ryan Seacrest (Mr. Clark's Rockin Eve). Once Criminal Minds was over I said, Bernie, you're tired, go to sleep. I was out like a light by 10:15 pm.

My middle sister is coming over with a breakfast snack from Panera (love the asiago bagels) and then we're going to catch the $5 show of Night at the Museum #3. It's an affordable way to see a movie as long as you are willing to go to a viewing between 10 and noon. Today's show is closer to 11:30 so I won't feel like I just rolled out of bed LOL.

I'm off work through Sunday and am loving the breaks this holiday season. When my time comes I am going to take to retirement like a duck to water {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}.

Absolutely Lola, if you check last month's thread or any of the others, we welcome cat lovers, including pics of cats, dog lovers, heck even goat lovers like Mousiegirls daughter. Basically all animal lovers are welcome and by all means, post pictures - we love them here.

The Berry eagles seem to be pursuing their housekeeping chores with more enthusiasm. Could egg-laying be near?
