Hello my friends! Blessings today was going along with my husband for a Walmart run, eating lunch at Perkins, and coming home to a clean house - Lori's cleaning lady was here! She does a great job. She's also our cleaning lady now - we hired her for two hours at the end of the month. She can do things I cannot do anymore so that's a blessing for me to have her. At Perkins we saw in a booth our niece-in-law - they don't live here, but she said her little girl is going to the doctor here and they're thinking she has pneumonia. She seemed worried, so I pray for Michelle, and little Grace for healing. Praying for you all for all your needs daily.
Love people so much that you will do all that you can to lessen their
human sorrows. Lord, You have shown Your love for me. May I
now radiate Your presence to others.
Scripture for the day:
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." ~Psalm
119:105
Meditation for the day:
In all of us there is an inner consciousness that tells of God, an
inner voice that speaks to our hearts. It is a voice that speaks to us
intimately, personally, in a time of quiet mediation. It is like a
lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. We can reach out into the
darkness and figuratively touch the hand of God. Deep down inside
each of us is the fundamental idea of God. We can find this great reality
deep down within us. And as we find it, it can change our whole
attitude toward life.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may follow the leading of the inner voice. I pray that
I may not turn a deaf ear to the urging of my conscience.
Don't let go of hope.
Hope gives you the strength to keep
going when you feel like giving up.
Don't ever quit believing in yourself.
As long as you believe you can,
you will have a reason for trying.
Don't let anyone hold your
happiness in their hands;
hold it in yours, so it will always
be within you reach.
Don't measure success or failure by
material wealth, but by how you feel;
our feelings determine the richness
of our lives.
Don't let bad moments overcome you;
be patient, and they will pass.
Don't hesitate to reach out for help;
we all need it from time to time.
Don't run away from love but towards
love, because it is our deepest joy.
Don't wait for what you want to come to
you; go after it with all that you are,
knowing that life will meet you halfway.
Don't feel like you've lost when plans
and dreams fall short of your hopes.
Anytime you learn something new about
yourself or about life, you have progressed.
Don't do anything that takes away from
your self-respect; feeling good about
yourself is essential to feeling good
about life.
Don't ever forget how to laugh or be
too proud to cry.
It is by doing both that we live
life to its fullest.
The Power of Prayer
The day was long, the burden I had
borne
Seemed heavier than I could longer
bear,
And then it lifted-but I did not know
Some one had knelt in prayer.
Had taken me to God that very hour,
And asked the easing of the load, and
He,
In infinite compassion, had stooped
down
And taken it from me.
We cannot tell how often as we pray
For some bewildered one,
hurt and distressed,
The answers comes, but many times
those hearts
Find sudden peace and rest.
Some one had prayed, and Faith, a
reaching hand,
Took hold of God, and brought Him
down that day!
So many, many hearts have need of
prayer: Oh, let us pray

WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING
Author Unknown
When you thought I wasn't looking, by a Child
A message every parent should read, because your children are watching
and doing as you do, not as you say.
"When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my first painting
on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to paint another one.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you feed a stray cat, and I
learned that it was good to be kind to animals.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make my favorite cake for
me and I learned that little things can be the special things in life.
When you though I wasn't looking, I heard you say a prayer, and I knew
there is a God I could always talk to and I learned to trust in God.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make a meal and take it
to a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all have to help take
care of each other.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give of your time and
money to help people who had nothing and I learned that those who have
something should give to those who don't.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I felt you kiss me good night and I
felt loved and safe.
When you though I wasn't looking, I saw you take care of our house and
everyone in it and I learned we have to take care of what we are
given.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw how you handled your
responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good and I learned that I
would have to be responsible when I grow up.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw tears come from your eyes and
I learned that sometimes things hurt, but its all right to cry.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you cared and I wanted
to be everything that I could be.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I learned most of life's lessons
that I need to know to be good and productive person when I grow up.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked at you and wanted to say,
'Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking.'"
Each of us - parent, grandparent or friend - influence the life of a
child.
Do Not Doubt It
You are beautiful
God made you and you are beautiful
Do not doubt it
You are loved
God loves you
HIS love is unfailing and never ending
Do not doubt it
You are not alone
God is always with you
through the good times and the bad
HE will never forsake you
Do not doubt it
HE is waiting for you
When your time on this earth has ended
HE will be waiting for you at Heaven's Gate
with open arms
HE is ready to welcome you home
when the time is right
Do not doubt it

Prayer For Relieving Stress And Anxiety
Lord, there has been too much change in my life recently, and I feel
overwhelmed. Because I try to be a responsible person, I sometimes forget
that it is unwise for me to allow my sense of duty to override my common
sense.
Lord, help me to allow myself more time to rest, relax, and pray. Guide me
toward something spiritual to read every day and a quiet time afterwards to
reflect on what I have read and how it pertains to my life. I truly want to
simplify my life and live more as Christ did. Help me remember that there
is no loss or problem I must face alone. You are always near, with Your
love and compassion to comfort me. Amen.
Meditations by Padre Pio
Jesus and your soul must cultivate the vine in agreement. Your task is to
remove the stones, pull away the thorns. Jesus is to sow, plant, cultivate
and water. But even in your work there is the work of Jesus. Without Him,
you can do nothing.
Mother Teresa Said...
"What am I binding myself to?
What am I giving my vow to God about? --
I bind myself to God with undivided love.
I tell Almighty God, I can love all,
but the only one I will love in particular
is you, only you."

Today is the Feast Of St. Jude---my patron Saint. I have been praying to him and faithfully joining in on every one of his novenas said at the National Shrine of St. Jude for at least 55 years.
He has always answered my prayers.

Thanks Harlene - I'll find out tomorrow night how that little girl is.
Welcome to our thread, JAMMA! So nice to see you! My Mom had a great devotion to St. Jude too - I did too, but somehow got away from it with all my different prayers etc. but at Mass this morning Father mentioned it too and how his Mom had a great devotion to him. I certainly will start again, and thanks much for the reminder. I have the prayer to him here too with my other prayers. Now please come back again, you're very welcomed here!! We'd love to get to know you better.

Good afternoon!
Just now getting here because I spent the morning doing errands.
Gloria, I will pray for Grace and her Mother. You know, there is a respiratory virus going around that affects children, EV-D68, enterovirus. When I read her doctors think its pneumonia, the first thing I thought of was this virus. Please tell Michelle to have them check for that.
Hello to Harlene and Jamma.
Thanks, Harlene for the prayers for my cousin, Lynn. I just read an update on facebook where they found additional problems so they are doing a bypass.
Not much to say so I will hush. Enjoy the rest of your day and have a peaceful night. May the Lord bless you with all good things.

Hello Lucy!!! Yes, Michelle was on her way to the doctor to talk about pneumonia. I'll find out tomorrow night, I think, as we have another birthday celebration to go to at a restaurant, where the whole family meets, this time it's a sister-in-law, Mary. Michelle's Mother and Father in law will be there.
Nice graphics!
