I got a USPS package today - Labor Day ????

Was it delivered by a USPS employee? I didn't know they delivered anything today and was wondering if like UPS, they pass on this "Parcel Select" to another company. I know UPS transfers some of the packages I have ordered to the USPS for delivery.

Never used Parcel Select so I am not familiar with exactly what it is or does.

Could it be that it was mis-delivered and the person just happened to drop it off today? I've gotten boxes at my door and left them at the correct address (doorstep).

I checked the tracking and it says delivered at 12:30 p.m. today, September 1 by USPS. Maybe a USPS employee got bored on their day off?

I think Parcel Select is basically what used to be Parcel Post, so it's definitely not an upgraded service.

And just want to be clear this was not a QVC package, but one from Amazon through my Prime membership.

This wasn't a Sunday delivery though.

Maybe some worker was behind and had a deadline to meet.
