QVC @ the Mall store at the Mall of America

I can't believe this store is closing! It is the best place to shop in that huge Mall of America. I am so sad. I loved shopping there and visiting with other customers who came from all over the world. What a loss for QVC.

When is it going to close? I've been there several times too. It was nice to be able to see some of the products up close.

Oh, so sad. I used to live in Minneapolis and loved to go there. It was nice to be able to actually try the products before you purchased them. It's just a sign of the times, I guess.

That is very sad. First they closed the VA store, then the Myrtle Beach, then the Naples Fl store. I guess all will be in PA soon.

How did you find out it is closing? When? That's too bad. I've been there and it was a nice store.

HMMM, perhaps the Q isn't doing as well financially as in previous years.

That makes me sad, too. That store is always my first stop when I get the chance to go there, and was even the whole point of one trip last fall. Was hoping to make a stop next weekend when we'll be traveling to the Mpls. area. And I planned on trips getting more frequent as DD will be moving to Mpls. in late summer for college. {#emotions_dlg.sad}

I always kind of wondered why it was there. But it was a fun place to shop! I loved being able to try on the jewelry. I am planning a trip to Mpls in April. Will it still be open then?

This is sad news and am surprised the mall isn't doing what it can to hold on to this gem ( no pun intended.) One of the people talked to said it was closing at the end of August 2011. This is one of a very few stores I consider going to the mall for and the other stores I can find elsewhere. Who wants to pay for shipping on a little makeup item or hairspray when they can just go to the store. Of course, I watch it on TV but I will miss my QVC in-store fix. Sad MOA news, to say the least.

Why should QVC pay rent on a storefront when they can get people to pay exorbant shipping rates and save all that money plus make more.

I have heard for several years now that HSN has outsold the Q for quite awhile now. I guess they are closing outlets now and hiring hosts instead.

I love to laugh and dance......

I'm thinking they need to re-train the hosts they have and stop the hard sell techniques. AND lower their S/H AND revamp their quality control - then PERHAPS people might start buying again.

Each time I've stopped in there it's empty of customers. Not much to pick from, and it's so tiny. I won't miss it.

When I've been there it has always been busy. It is one of the few reasons I go to the MOA. Most of the stores in MOA can be found in any other regional or local mall. A lot of sameness there.

The staff was always very helpful at the QVC store unlike so many other retailers at MOA.

Hello all you QVC shoppers, I just leanred from a friend that MOA store has closed. That store was the only reason I would visit the Mall. What happened? Was it announced? To the one person who said the store was too small, first, it was not meant to be a large store. It was really a "sample" store. This allowed customers to sample and feel the products before purchasing. I am really sad about this. I started out buying from HSN years ago but switched over to QVC several years ago. I really think that HSN prices are much higher. I do order my skin product from HSN and periodically I will order other items.

I guess no one is exempt from this economic crisiis that we find our country in. I do appreciate that QVC is providing more easy payments and some shipping and handing costs are slashed. I have nothing negative to say about QVC. I did apply several years ago be a host but unfortunately was not accepted. I still love them as my number one shooping store. The clothes are always age appropriate, stylish and reasonably priced.

Thanks QVC from a loyal customer.

Ms. Mac

They used to have a Diamonique kiosk there as well - I haven't been to the MOA for a while - wonder if that closed too.

The kiosk closed earlier.
