SICK AND TIRED OF POOR DEMONSTRATIONS OF HANDBAGS; TOO MUCH TALK, NOT ENOUGH SHOWING

I am totally fed up lately with the lousy way the hosts and vendors are slacking off from really spending much time showing the interior details of the new bags, especially now that all of the prices are sky high. They spend forever rubbing the fabric/leather, describing zippers and things I can see, but seconds showing the inside so I can determine if my things will fit well, if there are enough pockets,are they open or zippered, divided, etc, ?????

I watched a video of Jane Treacy and a video demonstrating a bag I really wanted to purchase. It was a 4 minute, 36 second video. Jane monopolized the conversation, talked all about stuff that didn't pertain to the bag at all, was loud, had to hear about her day before, family, some old shoes, etc. until I wanted to scream !!!!!! The vendor just stood there holding the bag, not even displaying it's features, no one opened it until 4 minutes and

31 seconds had passed, showed inside for THREE SECONDS, and the tape ended at 4:36.

I was so angry I was yelling at them through my TV. I got so mad I refuse to buy the purse from QVC. I can get it elsewhere. Jane can kill a sale with her on-going incessant chatter quicker than any new host. Who gives a hoot about her life off air ?

If I have to pay that kind of money for a bag, they should hire people who can't speak and can just show the bag all over for 5 minutes, it would be more enjoyable.

I'll never watch a Jane show or buy anything from her EVER !!!Mercy, she makes me sooooo angry !

And her shoe shows with her nappy bare feet.....ugh ! I'M DONE!!!

ugh, i agree. there's been so many times when i'm seriously about to drop a pretty penny on a bag and the demo severely lacks when it comes to the inside. i won't buy anything unless i know exactly what it looks like. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown} i'm not going to buy a purse just cause it's pretty, it's got to be pretty and functional. Smile

ITA!! She is really bad about talking about nothing!!! I mean really, if I would even be interested in what's going on in her life I would just go to her FB page. Which I've never done because I could care less about ballet and where she went on vacation with her Clark's bendables with her sister and blah, blah, blah!!!! Annoying as he77!!

Yes, I'm tired of it also. They spend time talking and talking and talking...and then it's about the colors, colors, colors. And the inside of the bag isn't mentioned until the end of the presentation.

They clearly do it intentionally, because if we saw from the beginning what the bag was like on the inside, we could lose interest too early. This way, they force us to sit there and listen to the blah, blah,blahhhhhh....

maybe the big guys will realize too much talking stops people from buying

I agree about some hosts and the incessant verbiage. As for the inside of bags, also agree, they need to cover it fully. Not sure they need to spend long on it, because there's typically little to see, but we do need to see the lining and the organizational features.

Also post on "Q Did What", the administration do read the gripe forum, whether they do something about it is another thing.

There is also a similar thread about what appears to be the same presentation in Suggestion Box. It seems TPTB do monitor comments, but it also appears they let Jane do as she wishes. There has been so much feedback over the years about her tendency to digress and to be circuitous and yet she's still there and she's still digressing and being circuitous... Personally, I can only take her in small doses for these very reasons. I don't mind the hosts stories occasionally, or their attempts to personalize presentations, but some of them do clearly need better boundaries and to know when enough is enough before it gets to be too much.
