I ordered a tote from a retailer's website. It arrived and I love it! Not three days later, I receive an email from them that the same exact tote is on sale 30% off. I call them up, receipt in hand and ask for a price adjustment. They said that they would not, because it's a "special sales promotion" and not a "permanent markdown". So, I re-ordered the tote bag, saving $51 and returned the first one. Fortunately, they paid for the return shipping. Wouldn't a simple price adjustment have been easier?

Yes, it would have been easier. Some retailers just don't get it. Costs them more to process the return and they have an angry customer. Poor customer service. On the other hand, some retailers handle price reductions very well. Although sometimes that depends upon who you get on the phone when you call. {#emotions_dlg.scared}
