I count every gram of sugar I take in each day- read every label. There is sugar in most salad dressings, in most cans of tomato sauce- soups- prepared foods. The body does not need this sugar. You have to read every label or you just do not realize all the grams of sugar you are consuming hidden in foods. I pretty much do not eat anything out of a can or a box anymore. Or anything premade. Try this for one week and you will probably be shocked at all the hidden sugar you are ingesting without your knowledge. Many processed foods turn to sugar - rice cakes, crackers breads, even if there is no added sugar. People wonder why they have a toxic fat gut..... it just might be that you are consuming a lot of starch and sugar in your diet and not realize it.
