Tingling sensation on right side of head

Started 1326764870.753 in Wellness & Health | Last reply 1327203538.543 by mousiegirl

Has anyone ever had a tingling sensation on the right side of their head? My DH gets this every once in awhile lasting about 15 seconds. It's mainly above the ear. No other symptoms, just the tingling.

Thanks!

What did the doctor say it was?????? I'm assuming he's been to the doctor, right? If not, WHY NOT???? Something as serious as this sounds and you come to a bulletin board to ask a bunch of housewives??? Get real. {#emotions_dlg.angry}

I've gotten this sensation for years with migraine headaches. However, I've had numerous MRI's; cat scans; blood work ups; etc. Please don't hesitate to have your DH see a Doctor before trying to diagnosis with a thread...good luck!

Kitkom, If you can't post an honest answer to her question, why post at all. There is nothing wrong with asking your friends about their personal experiences, even if they are health related. Obviously, the OP feels that some of the folks on this board are her friends. No one here is suggesting that their advice is more valuable than seeing one's own physician. In this case, perhaps the OP is hoping to gain some information which she might use to "talk" her spouse in going to his physician.

Yes. It starts as a tingling on top of my head if I touch my hair. It then radiates down the side of my face into my jaw. Sometimes it turns into mini migraines. I went to my GP and she ordered an MRI for me because these are the same symptoms as a brain tumor. She said she didn't think I had one, but wanted to rule out a tumor. I then went to a neurosurgeon and he told me I had mini migraines brought on by menopause. I would defintely have them checked out. He told me to take Alleve and that took care of them. One of my coworkers has the exact same thing.

By the way, it is OK to come to this board and ask advice. I do, because I just want to see if anyone out there has what I do. Then I go see my doctor. Please don't assume that the OP won't go see the doctor.

good grief, why are you always so angry....She didnt ask for a diagnosis, just if anyone else has had the symptom, i think we are all smart enough to know that we need to see a doctor, without being screamed at

she's just gathering insight,

I've had so many weird symptoms with my chronic migraines, the list would be quite long and include tingling. That's not to say this is what's occurring with your husband. Best have him checked out to rule out a number of things. Good luck!

While I agree that her DH's tingling should be discussed with a doctor pronto, why would anyone post the above? Also, even though there is nothing wrong with being a housewige, I didn't realize that this board was comprised of "a bunch" Perhaps someone has been in their house too long. Get out and smell the fresh air and gain a new perspective.

Oh, knock it off, kitkom! No wonder people are scared to say something personal--because of people like you. You're a real jackas s.

It could be the symptom of a migraine or possible circulation problem. Might be a good idea to get it checked by the doc if he hasn't already done so.

I agree with the others - why in the world would you be asking such a question here?

Call your doctor immediately -

But how many of us are qualified to even venture an opinion on such a possibly serious medical condition? Let's keep real here.

For those jumping down this poor womans throat,,, it may be that she has made an appointment with her doctor. However as we all know, there is a time span between making the appointment and getting to see the doctor. With that said, she may have just been inquiring to see if anyone ever experience these symptoms in an effort to lessen her worries.

I hope it all works out for the best , Angel..

Geez, guys. The moon must be in Jupiter or something.

I tend to get some weird or uncommon ailments, mostly ortho. And though I am quite knowledgeable in numerous healthcare venues, I have come on this board and asked, "have you experienced this before?" And I did this because, in one instance, I completely herniated L5-S1 to the extent that I now have bone on bone. We hear lots about herniations, but very little about complete herniation causing two vertebrae to rest directly one upon the other.

I was super curious to hear from anyone who had experienced this. In this case, no one with a like condition responded; however, I did join a spine forum and found one person who had the same total herniation occur. The recounting of her case was not only interesting, but gave me a look ahead.

People who don't like to see health questions asked should get off this board. Go to beauty or fashion.

This happens all the time on this board. I also think these people should be in touch with their Dr. immediately.
