WEN Gallon Size

I tried wen today and so far I'm loving it. How often do they offer the gallons and how much do they usually cost? I'm hoping it's a little more affordable this way.

They offer the gallons in June on QVC but Chaz has it on his website (chazdean.com) year round and he occasionally has a discount on his site (last time was 20%) and free ship over $100. The gallons on QVC are around $160. The year before, the shipping was free but this year it wasn't, however I do not know how much shipping was ($7?? Can't remember...).

I would also like to know when QVC will offer the 1 gallon again, it is much more affordable. QVC, can you give us any answer on this?

On Chaz's site I just noticed that the gallon size went up a lot!!

From $186(?) to $210. So if they do have it on the Q it should definitely be a steal. I wonder why the price jumped so high, did the ingredient prices jump up too?

Yikes, really?? That probably means QVC's price will be a little more next year too. It is cheaper for me to get it from his site when he has a 20% off sale but they go fast. On his last sale he didn't have the POM in gallons yet and that was the only one I needed/wanted so I didn't buy anything. Next sale though, it is ON! :)

DUH....WENing! :)

If you remember, QVC mentioned that this June was the last time the gallons were being offered at the Introductory price. I remember because I made a note to order from his website because the Chaz Dean website price was equal to what I had paid QVC with tax, S & H. I agree with ValentinaBon, I will watch for the sale on his site. I'm guessing that the new QVC price will equal the $210 once I pay tax, S & H.

OMG mommy, you are right about the price jump!{#emotions_dlg.sad}

I'm thinking the price jump on chazdean.com has a lot to do with the higher costs of shipping. That being said, I'm so glad I ordered the gallon on A-D in June (POM), I have another gallon coming in December at the same price. I also ordered 2 A-D TSV's, so I should have enough WEN to last me for quite a while.

It was quite shocking to see the new $210 price on his website. I ordered a gallon of Lavender when they were 20% off, I only paid $148 and received it in 2 days. I guess we will never see prices that good again. {#emotions_dlg.crying}

With the price jump on his site, and possibly on the QVC gallon size next time it airs, makes me wonder if buying the QVC 32oz sizes won't end up being more cost effective? If I did my math right, the current QVC gallon size ends up costing about the same as buying three 32oz bottles and getting one free. With a possible price jump, there may be no difference between the gallon price and four 32oz size price. I'm just thinking out loud here...

I tried being patient but it took too long.

Especially like with the TSV, you actually received 2 free products with the 32oz purchase.

I was so hoping to have taken advantage of the deal but he didn't have POM in the gallon on his site then and that was the only one I needed. It was a much better deal than QVC. I was bummed QVC was charging shipping/handling on the gallons this year too since it was free before (and same price for the gallon).

I wanted to get the POM as well, which is why I ordered another Gallon from QVC. The total cost with tax + shipping for me was $182, the only difference really was the fact that I was able to put it on easy-pay.

You can save a lot of money with the current TSV.

I only got one for the first shipment, but I am increasing to 2 for each of the next two shipments. I did the math & this last TSV is a better deal than I originally thought.

A 32 oz is usually $49.50 plus all the tax and handling. That is going to put you over $200 for the equivilant of a gallon. The last TSV gives you over a gallon of CC just in the original 3 shipments.

Here is how it breaks down:

3 - 32 oz CC = 1 Gallon [I paid a total of $182.34 in June for one gallon of POM]

With each of my three TSV shipments coming out to $60.88 it will be a total of $182.64. Only 30 cents more & I get more product:

3 - 32 oz CC / 3 - 16 oz CC / 3 - 12 oz Replenishing Mist

The 3 - 32 oz CC + 2 of the 16 oz Seasonal CC = one gallon of CC total

That means you are getting 1 - 16 oz Seasonal CC & all 3 of the replenishing mist for $0.30.

I know you might not be able to change the scent, but I love the replenishing mist in the POM & I won't have to buy a gallon next year in June....I also get the seasonal ones to boot. I have increased my next two shipments to 2 instead of one. The mist & seasonal CC are a big bonus with this deal. If we could change the scent, I would get three of each of the next shipments, get the free stuff and not have to try and get a gallon in the frenzy that will be in June. Just some info that might help make the fact that the scent can't be changed a little brighter.

Wow mavdrkangl2, I bet you were really good at math when you were in school, weren't you? You are good with numbers!

I think I have enough WEN to last me a while, it's kind of scary seeing the prices go up and up with the oils, CC's Texture balm etc. I think I will be getting in on most of the TVS's from here on out.

Nice to see the breakdown on those values. Thank you for doing that and now I can really congratulate myself on that TSV purchase!!!

I didn't know you can order more of the auto-delivery TSV. That's a good idea. I guess I just go into my auto delivery and up the number of times?

The only gallon I order now is CA. It is not in a lot of the TSV's, so I get it that way. The other "flavors" I get in 32 ounce TSV's.

I know too much to go back an' pretend.

How do you girls get the Wen out of the bottom of the gallans? I usually fill up my 16oz bottles the the gallan but now I can't get the rest out with the pump.

I keep the original lids, when it get down to the bottom, I take out the pump and put the lid back on, turn it upside down overnight, then add the remaining in my bottles.

Also, it's a good idea to keep a pump or two on hand, just in case. I just rinse it out really good and stash it. I've heard of pumps failing once in a while.

I always hang on to my pumps, too, for the same reason. I always use the gallon to fill my smaller containers. This last time it worked well with the little kitchen funnel. It took a little time, but it is totally worth it.

I do not think you can UP the number of times, but you can ask to have 2 sent instead of 1. Or more even!

I am not speaking about the efficacy of the product at all. Simply the price.

I am not cheap by any means when it comes to beauty products but $160 is absolutely the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard for one gallon of shampoo. I was a hair stylist for years before becoming an aesthetician and I have looked at the ingredient deck for the product and there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN THIS CLEANSING CONDITIONER THAT WARRANT THIS PRICE. I am stunned that there are people that are willing to pay the exorbitant amount for a shampoo. Even if I loved with (which I have never tried it because I am happy with what I am using) I would never pay that price just for the fact that Chaz Dean must be completely delusional to think that people can simply look at the ingredients and not know that they are being taken. I find it utterly insulting that he would even THINK to charge that. That alone would stop me from EVER giving him one single red cent. Completely ludacris!!!!
