Sherri Shepherd on The View

Started 1276528814.15 in Viewpoints | Last reply 1280943996.767 by MyGirlsMom

Does anyone else notice a change in her since BW left the show? Just seems to me, she's louder than ever and trying to take over every conversation. She's really beginning to annoy me. May have to stop watching hot topics and that used to be my favorite part of the show.

I don't see any change in her whatsoever.

BW didn't leave the show; she's recovering from surgery. If it weren't for Whoopi and Joy, I wouldn't waste my time watching. As it is, I end up fast-forwarding through most of it. {#emotions_dlg.blink}

I used to watch it before Elisabeth and Sherri came on. Do not care for either. EH gets the top award for being rude.

Why did BW leave?

Sherri does not let anyone finish a sentence. She's always been bad about it, but she has really gotten worse. She is starting to really irritate me.

Sherri has annoyed me since the beginning.

Eye of newt, and toe of frog, Wool of bat, and tongue of dog, Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting, Lizard's leg, and owlet's wing, For a charm of powerful trouble, Like a h ell-broth boil and bubble.

I agree. This show has become very annoying, it has become a voice for certain political opinions. Everyone has a chance to speak,without interuptions except Elizabeth, they all gang up on her when she states her opinion. The show should change its name.I no longer watch that show.

She's one of the reasons I don't watch the View...I don't care for her...I'll just leave it at that...

I will not watch that show. It is too political and most of the "ladies" are quite obnoxious, in my opinion.

BW left for the summer because she had heart valve surgery. I hear she's doing well, so I assume she'll return in the fall after their hiatus in August.

I guess I have seen a different show - the few times I have watched The View, they all interrupt each other constantly!

I tape it and only watch if they have a guest on that I like. I fast forward through the Hot Topics segment. I find it highly annoying.

They need to find another conservative voice, preferably someone with a brain.

Are you trying to say Elisabeth does not interrupt others?

Never liked this show. They have all always talked over each other, interrupted. It is very annoying so I don't watch.

I can't stand Joy. I do notice that Sherry seems a bit more angry than usual.

I don't understand why viewers tune in to this show. To me it's on the same level as a reality show.

Now Whoopie is going to be gone for two weeks, Joy is taking her place as the 'mistress of ceremonies' and somebody is coming in as a guest tomorrow. Can I remember who? NOPE. I was making meatballs, DH came home for lunch, son stopped by in the meantime on his way to Maine. I did manage to hear some of Betty White.....who I adore (and the tv is next to the stove, so nobody could tell I was paying attention to the tv!){#emotions_dlg.glare}

Anybody know who's coming tomorrow as a guest host? I like it sometimes, if I don't I move on. Really just waiting for the noon news, and check in to see who's going to be there.

I think Sherri is the same as usual....they all are.

Sherri is not well informed on current events IMO. She only speaks out when it concerns entertainment, tv or an awards show. Surely they know ahead of time what the topics will be so she can become somewhat knowledgeable.

Whoopi is a pleasant surprise. She sees both sides of an issue - both liberal and conservative. Someone was criticizing a political party once and Whoopi stated "Both of them do that. It's not just one - it's both!". My kind of gal.

Having gone to a couple of live tapping's of the show I have a different take on it. Sherri comes downstairs to say hi and take pictures with the audience members as they wait on line and is very nice. And during commercial breaks its Joy who is warm and friendly to the audience members. Whoopi acts like Martha Stewart does during commercial breaks. She makes no eye contact with the audience and doesn't talk with the other women on the show.

Rapunzel2, I agree, Whoppi has been a pleasant surprise and at times at least to me, the only 'rational' one in the bunch.

I started watching 'the view' when it very lst came on...at around 11 / 11:30pm when it was Meredith Vieira, Star Jones, Debbie Mata...??sorry, cannot spell name!! and Barbara Walters...Joy Behar would be there when Barbara was not. Debbie was soon replaced by Lisa Ling and I actually enjoyed this line up very much. It was way before Star Jones became 'self obsessed' (for the lack of a better description) and a 'bridezilla'.

I never thought that Sherri nor Elizabeth have added much to the show; except for the constant 'trouble' that Elizabeth has gotten into which always causes media attention. Sherri? for me, just not my cup of tea. Rosie O'Donnel was just a hoot but got into tooo much hot water over the 'Donald' fiasco and of course you do not 'argue' tooo much with the 'boss'...Barbara.

Ladies, these are just my thoughts on 'the view'.

Nope, after years of watching and way way too much totally talking Loudly and sometimes Rudely to oneanother, I now watch only on occassion when someone is coming on the show that I would like to see. I liked to be entertained, but not at the expense of feeling uncomfortable.

Nothing is so strong as gentleness and nothing is so gentle as true strength.

They make a lot more than we do.
