Sensa Class Action Lawsuit

Started 1348077331.127 in Viewpoints | Last reply 1348110865.107 by msmoxie

Just wondered if anyone rec'd a card in the mail regarding a class action lawsuit involving Sensa weightloss products?

I got a card today. It says if you bought Sensa, you could get a payment from a settlement. Apparently the lawsuit is about advertising claims made by Sensa Weight Loss System and includes anyone who purchased Sensa prior to August 21, 2012.

If you would like to submit a claim form, you can go to www.weightlosssettlement.com. The deadline is 12/13/2012.

No surprise....but I haven't gotten a card yet and maybe I won't...bought it through ShopNBC and even though I KNOW better than to fall for such claims, I tried it for a few weeks....

I should be slapped...maybe it worked for someone somewhere, but it didn't make sense to me to have to put the stuff on something I should not be eating to begin with.

I do better just sticking with my own plans....low carbs, exercise, and fresh as much as possible.

i am not suprised it did not work as well as the commercials and ads always say it does! but people are so desperate to loose weight quickly. i always wonder if people stop to think about how these things could years from now cause them all kimds of medical problems. i know they say they have tested these things - but how well {#emotions_dlg.confused1} in order to get it out to the public as quickly as possible to make money!

she said: "that's alot of money to spend on a purse!" and i instantly knew we could not be friends.

Witchy Woman I should be slapped twice. That's how many times I bought it! {#emotions_dlg.blushing} The first time I bought it through GNC. The second time I bought it through SNBC.

Actually, the card is addressed to my DH because the GNC order was under his account. I didn't get a card for my order throught SNBC and I wonder if I will or if for some reason, those purchases aren't included?

The card specifically says the Plaintiffs allege that Defendant didn't have a sufficient scientific basis for certain of its marketing claims. Defendant disputes these allegations and contends that its marketing claims are substantiated by 3 product studies and a significant body of scientific research regarding neurology and the science of smell and taste.

I returned the product both times and got my money back so all I'm out is the return postage both times. And it's my stupid fault for ordering the stuff!!!

I totally agree, too!

ITA. Best way to lose weight is to eat less and exercise more. Easier said than done, to be sure, but anyone who invests in pills, supplements, etc. to lose weight is only going to be lighter in the wallet. JMHO.

I've wondered when this would happen. I can't understand why the FDA let it go this long. If this stuff was legit, it would be on the front page of every newspaper. Sprinkling fairy dust on your food will not make you thin.

I can't believe all these people bought into this fake product.

I still have two containers of Sensa from HSN but not my receipts. Last time I joined a class action lawsuit against Transunion I ended up with nothing. Not enough money for the people that filed.

The above quoted snippet was probably intended for people who live in England... {#emotions_dlg.w00t}{#emotions_dlg.w00t}

I have been using Sensa for a couple months, along with a sensible diet. Walking a bit more than usual, and I lost about 20 pounds. I haven't had any side effects.

Always believe some thing wonderful is about to happen
