is Shirley Temple alive and where does she live now?

i was cleaning my garage today and on a shelf i found a big box of her vcr tapes and autobiography books i had from years ago. you know her parents did not allow her to keep presents on holidays she had to give them to orphanages. she was once in love with Ronald Reagan. i had a doll of her from the 60s it just vanished somewhere. she was very beautiful in her 20s. as a young child on the set if actors forgot their lines she quickly recited them perfectly for them. she was always on cue and always knew her lines.her mother thought no children were good enough to play with her.

is there a reason for this nasty comment?

I loved her movies and must own every one of them. I also have the doll in her pretty blue dress with black velvet ribbon. I wanted that doll so badly that when I received it one Christmas I couldn't believe she was truly mine....

Such wonderful memories she evokes for me...

Does anyone remember her Storybook Theater? I loved it as a small child.......

Maybe she likes having conversations about something of interest. SmileWho replies when we google a question?

In addition she shared something in her original post about finding something regarding Shirley Temple memorabilia....it was quite nice.

Absolutely loved watching her old movies on TV when I was young. She was so adorable. I especially liked the one where her father is a soldier and they think he's dead. But he's not. He's just brain damaged and can't remember who he is. At the end of the movie he hears her speaking outside his room and calls out her name:Sarah. Makes me cry just thinking of it.

She was and is a beautiful person, inside and out. A real lady.

Shirley turned 84 last month, still resides in Woodside, CA, which is near San Francisco - a very wealthy small town it says online, other inhabitants: singers Neil Young & Joan Baez, & actress Michelle Pfeiffer.

Love Shirley Temple. I watched her movies every Sunday.

My youngest 'made' me view one of her movies after being bombarded by some infomercial. I considered it an exercise in history, lol.

I watched her movies many times over when I was a child. She was an adorable child, and quite the little actress. I have fond memories of her movies and hope she's doing well and enjoying life today.

I had a Shirley Temple paper doll & a few cute little paper dresses with tabs on the shoulders. I still love her movies. A favorite scene for me would be the dance number with Buddy Ebsen in Captain January.

I have seen all her movies. I always looked forward to Heidi at Christmas time and I noticed the last two years that none of her movies were shown. I wonder if there was some legal/contractual thing going on? I did notice they were selling her movies, maybe that was the reason.

When I was nine years old - and fairly new to this country - my parents gifted me with a 'Shirley Temple's Storybook' for Christmas. It was a compilation of the stories that were featured on her 'Shirley Temple's Storybook' television show. My favorites were 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow' (Shirley played Katrina) and 'The Land of Green Ginger' because it had a dragon in it. I have that book to this day.
