Do any of you know which bank, if any offer the tear off money pads filled with new $1 bills? Years ago someone gave them to my children as Christmas gifts and they are a great stocking stuffer. I've tried google and can't find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am in Michigan - Detroit Metro area.

I'm in Michigan, too! ratdog1111321717189.3114924 PostsRegistered 10/27/2008 I wonder if you could get this done at a printing/binding type shop. Bring in your own atack of bills and ask them to bind them like a note pad. The mint prints dollars in sheets - like wrapping paper - and they are then cut. I don't think a bank would have pads like the ones you are describing. But, just in case, try the US mint website. Thanks for the suggestion Ratdog - will try some printers on Monday! Our bank used to do that and may still. Fun idea.........when my son was younger he loved it. Surely someone still does it. "Don't judge me by my past, I don't live there anymore."

I am in Michigan - Detroit Metro area. i did find this online: http://www.moneypads.com/index.html "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that it's difficult to determine whether or not they are genuine." ~ Abraham Lincoln I've made these myself with $2 bills. Get some new bills from the bank If you want interesting covers - you can find papers at the craft store Cut the covers to the bill size stack everthing up - clamp near the end of one side then brush on glue - you can use a foam brush - -- I use my finger. I usually do 3-4 thin coats. They do sell notepad glue at the craft store - but I use elmers. there are also many websites that have directions for making notepads of moneypads if you need more help. Thanks for the post. baylisa1322101660.681 PostsRegistered 11/23/2011 My grandma used to get all of us 50.00 in a checkbook holder for Christmas. She lived in the Detroit area also. The bank she used to get them from was Security Bank - which isn't around anymore. I have been looking for them too - to give to my niece and nephew.
