I wonder if they consider their time, gas to go hunt coupons, printer ink and news papers?

No longer a bug! ; )

I still maintain that those women wouldn't be able to do that HERE.

None of my local grocery store chains allow stacking of coupons.

What are your stores?

All my stores allow it.

CVS

Rite Aid

Walgreens

Kroger

WalMart

Meijers

Here is a list from my couponing site of store that allow stacking.

If I can save $20-$30 a month that would be great couponing, just buy getting the Sunday paper. I have enough going on in my life that being obsessed would not fit into my life.

They also sell them on Ebay. I buy coupons on Ebay for items that I buy regularly.

Wow, how much do they cost? if you don't mind saying, if you do thats ok. :)

I sell coupons that I cannot use on Ebay. I usually sell stacks of 100 coupons for about $3-$5.

Doing that covers the cost of my paper.

people buy these???

they sell like hotcakes.

i hold about 6 auctions a week so I make about $20 week. Sometimes less sometimes more.

Since the show its been alot more.

What exactly is stacking?

I do not like for my pantry to be overflowing. Less is more for me. I do admire the couple who was donating their products. Good for them!

I've never even seen a store that doubled all the coupons like they do on these shows, much less stacking to the point that the customer is owed money. It must be a regional thing.

Josiesopinion - stacking is just being able to use more than one coupon on a single item. Plus there is stacking as far as percentage off on the whole ticket, store card discount, etc. Any discounts that are stacked vs having one discount that applies to a given item or total.

Justa - I do see that it brings in more business but really (rhetorical) - what kind of business does it bring? It looks like it's bringing in people who are buying all the loss leader stuff of the week. They do buy all the garbage (processed foods, etc) that are probably massively marked up, but no doubt they only buy them on sale.

I don't know - it just kind of gets in my craw that most of these people are just nuts between the food/household product hoarding, the coupon cheaters, the newspaper stealers, dumpster divers (gadzooks!), and the ones who buy up everything in the store when there is no way they could use all that. The only thing that redeems the whole trainwreck is the fact that a few of them actually use it to help somebody else.

Did anybody see the lady who was stealing other peoples' newspapers from their driveways? She had somebody else driving and she would get out, run up the driveway and grab their newspaper, then jump in and yell out GO GO GO. Then off they went down the street for more. That's pretty ballzy.

I saw that and couldn't believe that she did that. I hope she gets caught one day.

Alot of people go to the newspaper dispensers where you in your chnage and open the little door. Well they will grab all the inserts out of all the papers and then the poor fool, (usually me) who comes in behind them later will pay only to find all the paper coupon less.

I have had that happen to me too. Also one day I went into a gas station on the way home and bought a paper. I got home and opened that paper and the coupon inserts were there, but someone had cut all of the good coupons out.

Ten one dollar coupons, currently selling for $17.00. Ok, either I'm stoopid because I just don't get it, or those bidders are stoopid because they are paying $17 for $10 instead of just buying the merchandise for $9.90. Coupon math is beginning to make no sense at all.

I think some have too much time on their hands. Who in the world has time to get on ebay and buy these bbq sauce coupons and worry about having them delivered. Heres a thought, when you need a jar of bbq sauce but it on sale....or buy it at aldis for .79

I think that aldis store is a regional one, so most people don't have it. But yeah - the coupon thing is just weird. Time is money and I think they are forgetting that too.

Example of coupon stacking

Product, lets say Bar Soap is $2.00 at C.V.S.

I have a manufacturers coupon for $1.00 off. Most people would say thats GOOD deal! No its not.

Because I also have a IN-STORE (coupon that C.V.S issued) for a $1 off

So when I go to check out I hand the cashier the manufacturers coupon AND the in store coupon and VOILA! The bar soap is now free!

Bar soap= $2.00

IN Store= $1.00

Manufacturers= $1.00

My Total= $0.00

It took me FOREVER to understand this!

Another thing people don't get.

If somethings is 3/$5 and I have a 75 cent off coupon I can use 3 of those BECAUSE its PER PURCHASE NOT per transaction!!!!!!!

Personally I think this show is rigged.. Sorry, I just don't buy it and if it's not these people are SICK... I sat down the other day and I called the major food stores around here and asked their coupon policies.. Walmart does NOT double coupons AND they only allow you 50 dollars worth of coupons PER ORDER.

Food Lion does NOT double coupons

Bi-Lo does NOT double coupons

Krogers will double coupons but only up to 50 cents and NONE of them do overages.

I think this show people shop at Safeways and I saw one on Krogers one night but I still think it's all rigged.. Just like I think Dancing with the Stars and AI is rigged as well and I dont' watch those anymore either..

Actually just week Krogers tripled coupons in my region up to a $1.50!!!!!!!

Wal-Mart CAN allow more than $50 in coupons they just have to override with managment approval....never been a problem for me.

I have seen this happen too. I was in CVS not long ago on a Sunday, and they had the Sunday stack of newspapers in the usual place. There was a woman standing there going through the papers and pulling out the coupon inserts. I looked at her and said...you shouldnt do that....she basically looked at me and told me to drop dead.

I went to the cashier, and told her what this woman was doing....and they handled it. IT was not the first time she tried this. The store now sells the newspapers behind the counter.

If someone wants to go jump in a dumpster and find coupons, let them. I personally find it ridiculous and disgusting.

one woman was buying a shelf of Vitamin Water, with coupons seriously do you really need to buy that, then she said she had $4000 worth of razors, she said she spent up to 60 hours a week on couponing

this show really bugs me for some reason to it is just like hoarding only the stuff is new
