What would you like to be able to buy that isn't being made now?..I would like Breck Shampoo, I used to be able to buy some very nice creamed corn in the freezer section, I am not able to find now

I would like to find some Big John beans, my kids always loved them far better than any other baked or pork and beans

I used to like Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific, Thrifty ice cream, and Bit O'Honey candy. I don't know if those products are still available, but I haven't seen them in ages.

Go online and check The Vermont Country Store-they also have a catalog that you can order. They have some of the products both of you have mentioned.

Body on Tap - I don't think that shampoo is around anymore. I remember it made my hair really shiny.

Oh, cherry, this is one of my favorite candies. We bought these when we were kids.....many moons ago. I still buy it when I get a hunger for it. Believe Walgreen's sells the individual packages yet. I can't chew them any more because I'm afraid of loosing a filling.....so just s u c k on them.....the flavor lasts forever.

I responded to this a few minutes ago, but it never came on the board. This has been happening a lot lately. Don't know what the problem is.

When I was a kid I loved yucca dew shampoo. I would always beg my mom for it. I also loved the bubblegum kissing potion by maybelline.

Funny Face drink mix (same idea as Kool-Aid) from my childhood in the 60s. The Goofy Grape flavor. LOL Kool Aid grape flavor just didn't taste as good, or so I remember.{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Hi Caligrl, right after I posted mine, I went to Wikipedia. Says that Funny Face was discontinued in 1978. I know it has been a long long time. Jiffy Pop, hmmm, I remember that too.... Shake shake shake on the gas range.... don't let it burn Rusty. LOL

Beemans gum and "lickem'maid" (don't know how to spell that- they were paper straws filled with this sickening sweet powder but boy did we love them as kids) and the little candy dots you pulled off paper sheets (and ate paper and all, ha!ha!). Guess these aren't brand names, sorry..just strolled on memory lane for a bit.

Rusty we used to open a pac of Kool-Aid and pour it into our hand. Then lick it until it was gone....OMG, how could we ever had done that. Cherry was my favorite flavor.

I remember these very well. Loved them, but don't remember eating the paper too, except when it came off with the little dot. I never liked Beemans gum....couldn't pop it when chewing it....juicy fruit and double mint were good for popping.

I thought I was cool like my big sisters going to Woolworths to buy Tickle Deodorant when I was 12. I think there were 4 "flavors" to choose from but I always got the pinkKiss

Oh, the things we did when we were little. Just think what the kids of today are missing out on.

This reminds me of when the family (cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandma) would sit around the table and tell stories. That was so much fun. Was always sorry when it was over for the evening.
