Guaranteed Christmas Delivery

A fool here. I should have learned from last year, but that wasn't a gift. This year I ordered a handbag for my GD for a Christmas gift with guaranteed delivery for Christmas. Well, my order is still "in process" this morning. Do they update the order status as soon as it ships or could it possibly be on the way? Our mail is trucked from Phoenix so unless they are delivering by helicopter to my door there is no way it can get here in time. If it doesn't I'm refusing delivery. I emailed qvc but as yet no response.

When did you place the order? As soon as it ships, it will update.

Positive thoughts, positive thoughts.

This seems to happen every year with Q. I hope you get your packages in time.

Of course their response will be that of "too bad, so sad" and just offer a credit of return shipping. They really don't care about their customers since for every one they lose they seem to gain another.

Sorry Pink Sugar. Oders (from what I've been told) don't ship until they are out of process. From what you've written, your order hasn't shipped yet. Don't give up hope.

I don't know how the other shoppers from parts of the nation that have the heavy snowfalls, rains and floods, even tornado damage, can expect their items to arrive when the estimated dates are given. I watch the weather reports and see the closed roads, airports, etc. How can anyone predict a delivery date in areas with weather problems. I would never order in the Fall and Winter from any company in the hopes that my items arrive. I have had disappointments in the fair weather with shipments. I couldn't trust anyone from a distance with my items to meet my expecations.

They guarantee it will be shipped out, but not delivered on the 24th. They just want sales. Noone should order a week before Christmas and expect it there on time. (unless you pay for overnight delivery)

I order every year online and get my packages before Christmas, but from other places other than QVC.

Most companies during this time want their customers happy and not only ship the items quickly but give free shipping as well.

All my L'Occitane and Philosophy orders will be here by Wednesday at the latest.

I have an item in process. It's promised for Christmas Eve - and I'm assuming it will arrive. Laast year I ordered 3 items in the last few days. All arrived when they were promised. This year I ordered a gift for me, but I'd still like it to show up!

Right under the item is says: Receive before 12/25 : No extra charge. Then lower is says if you order before 12/20 you'll receive before 12/25. I ordered a week before the deadline. Guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

I would have to read the fine print. Are only the items shown on air good for the 12/24 delivery?

I think they are a bit late with updating. There are too many packages going out to keep up. I got an item when it was still listed "in process".

I am sure you will get your item.

One year a package from QVC was delivered on Christmas Day by messenger. It was more than 10 years ago when happy customers were important to them.

This happened to me recently also. Also, I already got an item before they emailed me it was ready to be shipped.

PinkSugar- For what its worth, the last two orders I placed said IN PROCESS for days. I was wondering what was taking SO long and lo and behold the orders were delivered BEFORE Q updated their system. So don't give up, there's still hope. I think they have SO many items going out that they can't keep the status current.

Thank you all for your replies. I got an email from CS this morning that they are in the process of shipping and I will have it by the 24th. I will keep my fingers crossed but doubt it will make it up here by then. "MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE".

I too was wondering this because I don't know if it was on air or not, but it is printed on the page. Ridiculous to be "in process" for 10 days though. "Happy Holidays".

Anyways, I hope you all get your items on time. Before Christmas.
