QVC Outlet Store- Lancaster PA.

Started 1283990456.28 in Viewpoints | Last reply 1284047600.35 by NChgOfMyAttitude

I have heard so much about the Q's outlet store in Lancaster PA, so when I was in PA recently of course I had to visit. What a disappointment!!! I couldn't believe my eyes. The store was so disorganized and junky looking. The racks of clothing and other things for sale looked as though they were left-overs from stores that had gone out of business and were just trying to sell off stuff. Clothes were falling off the racks, and the whole place just had a very cluttered look and feel. Needless to say I was so turned-off that I just left without really trying to find anything, and decided to continue shopping from the tele. I kind of expected the store to reflect the cool sets that are shown on TV. Guess I was expecting too much.

Unbelievable! You know, I remember when they use to advertise the Q store at the Mall of America and try to convince everyone to hop on a plane to see it.

Bwhahahhahahahhahahahahhahahhahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Geesh, how gullible can people get!!

i was in the rehoboth outlet, and the same, 3 mo ago. had no expectations but nevertheless, when you go to the mart stores or other inexpensive places at least it is organized. will never do that again, although also am ordering less than ever for same reason, no great deals.

my sister was able to find me several prs of pants at penny's of which i had a black pair already, that fit nicely. these 2 pairs were, i believe, less than $35.00 and the right length besides. used to like dialogue pants, but those babies were 29-39 bucks/pair and a little too short, so had them lengthened, too much work and $$ so no more.

good luck to find what you are looking for.

I did a phone survey once regarding the Lancaster store. It was several years ago, and I mentioned what a mess it was. But, nothing has ever changed. It's about 1 1/2 hours from my home, and I go up to the Lancaster area a couple of times each year. I don't always find something, but I have gotten a few good buys.

I had a similar experience at the Lancaster outlet. What a bummer. The clothing was pushed together so tight you couldn't even see what was there. The store was messy and in much disarray throughout. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

I only live about 30 minutes away and yes, I too, have seen the store at its worse; however, having shopped at all the outlet stores where the QVC Outlet is located, it can depend on the day of the week you are there. If you go on the weekend, or a Monday, the stores can all be in disaray from the onslaught of the weekend shoppers that descend there. I have found the best days to go, in general are Tuesday or Wednesday. This isn't 100%, but it can make a big difference. Those of us who live here, hardly ever go to the outlets on the weekend. I have been able to find some really good deals at the outlet. JMO.

The store at the Mall of America is not an outlet. It is very nice. I don't know that I'd "hop on a plane to see it," but it is fun to see the items and try on the jewelry.

I heard it was very small and not stocked with a lot of what they do sell.

They have one fitting room in Lancaster, it is deplorable, the dust is about one inch thick in there.

Don't I know it! I was recently near the Frazier outlet and so decided to stop by to check it out. OMG, I was shocked! What an absolute dump. Never again.

I have been to the one in Rehoboth and that was a dump too. I have seen thrift stores look better and be more organized. The clothing was just the worst..all jammed in there together and falling off the racks. I think I spent 12.00 in there.

Been there, done that. What a mess. The prices for beauty and cosmetics is no big bargain, except you don't have to ship. Will never go back -- waste of my time.

OVER 60: SKIN - menopausal, dry, not sensitive, few eye wrinkles, mouth to chin (puppet) lines.
HAIR - dry, dyed, curly, frizzy shoulderr length/NOW STRAIGHTENED

We live nearby. The store has always been full of 95% junk . . . returns, products that never sold, etc. Definitely not worth making a special trip to go to it.

totally agree---makes Ollies and big lots look like top of the line stores!

The Q outlets are a hit or miss- but I find Lancaster more picked over (& potentially messy) becasue it's in an outlet mall. Frazer is usually in better shape- with better stock. I was there 2 weeks ago- didn't get a thing though. That was a first! Usually I find SOMETHING...

Prices Corner- in Delaware- doesn't have a dressing room at all. They told me it was the only way to control shoplifting.

I agree, we go outlet shopping every year and I won't even go in there anymore. It reminds me of Ocean State Job Lot stores!!! Sometimes you can get a good bargain, but UGH!!!
