Does anyone know if that white mac and cheese showed in the voice guided pressure cooker is in the 20 recipe booklet or in Meredith's new Cookbook? And do you have a recipe thats great for the pressure cooker?

Hi Katey, I haven't received my new talking pressure cooker yet, another couple days {#emotions_dlg.sad}, so I can't answer that part of your question. I have Bob Warden's "Slow Foods Fast" and with my 4qt pc, I've made the mac & cheese from that book..............it's to die for!! So easy of course, takes 10 mins and my little granddaughter loves to make it with me. If you don't have his pc books, I highly rec them. HTH

I have the oval cook essentials pressure cooker. I use it to make potatoes for mashing. Makes them perfect every time! I peel as many as I want, cut them in halfs or thirds (depending on the size of the potato), place them in the cooker, add 3/4-1 cup water, salt and pepper them to taste (not as much as on the stove top!). I set the pressure to 15 lb pressure and set the timer to 13-15 minutes. I live in a high altitude so things have to cook longer. After cooking remove from the cooker and mash with butter and sour cream. Makes really good mashed potatoes and they don't cook away in the boiling water on the stove!

I also make potato soup in the pressure cooker. Dice potatoes, onions, ham, slice celery, grate carrots, and place in cooker. Add water (just enough for the ingredients to cook), salt, and pepper. Pressure cook at the 15lb pressure setting for 15-20 minutes. When the pressure goes down add a stick of butter or margarine, a can of evaporated milk, and enough whole milk to make soup. I leave it in the pressure cooker until it is heated through. I don't drain the water that is left from the cooking process so that is why I don't add much water to begin with. Season more if needed. I live in a high altitude so I do cook things longer than at a lower altitude so adjust accordingly. This makes wonderful potato soup and nothing sticks or burns.

How about a crockpot?

1 can creamed corn, 1 can sweet corn, 1 stick light margarine, 1 cup elbow macaroni, 1 cup velveeta. Don't drain any cans. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook in crockpot until macaroni is done. AMAZING!! :) cb
