I find Patti's words to be very honest and sincere, wish her well. I remember her first time on the air. she and Lena McIllwain both debuted on the same day, it was in May, 2000.

I have a feeling she is going to work for Ms. Bobbi Brown! What a 'glam' job for a 'glam' young lady!

Kind of sad in a way.... I hope she finds the inner peace she is looking for. Not many people can make such a change when their career is going so well. I wish her well in finding what she desires, life goes by too fast to settle.

Patti is a beautiful, smart and talented woman. She will be successful in any endeavor. I hope we can see her on telelvison in the future.

The trio, Patti, Lisa, and Shawn .. appears that Shawn came in and was given more important shows than Patti. I hope she finds what she really wants, a loving family! Good for her because in the end a good family is what makes most people complete.

Well, whatever it is that she wants, I truly hope she finds it. Working long hours has to be draining for anyone, with or without a family.

Isn't this thread number 12 on PR leaving the Q? Or is it 13?

Good for her! I like her, so I wish her well. Has she already left?

Not yet, but this thread probably will soon.

The other 12-15 threads about her leaving the Q were zapped last night by Webbie.

Not everyone is sad to see her leave and expressed that on some of those threads, so Webbie took 'em all down, I think.

Wow - I was really torn when I read her blog. I have never been a fan of hers. Thought she was too childlike and silly, not professional, talking over the guests, narcistic (sp?), etc., etc. but when I read her statement I was so moved. I never expected her to have such depth and compassion (for her dogs) and yes warmth. She sounds like a totally different person than the persona she projects on Q. I wish you well Patti, you certainly have your priorities straight and may all your dreams come true.

I haven't been a viewer as long as many of the posters on the board so I don't recognize the personality changes in the hosts like many others do. When I started watching the Q a couple of years ago, Lisa hosted Saturday Night Beauty and Mary Beth did the gold shows with Aiko. Once Mary Beth got bounced and Lisa took over most if not all things gold, it seemed that Patti was going to take over the SNB show. She appeared to me to really enjoy skin care and cosmetics, so the fit seemed good. About then was when I noticed that hosts were getting signature shows. Jill already was known for Silver Style and At Home with Jill. They gave Mary Beth her show, Carolyn was the gardening, kitchen and Denim & Co person (more or less). Shawn got her accessories show, etc. They then changed the scheduling, moved SNB to Friday Night Beauty and it seemed to me that Patti lost her niche. I don't know what happened or why it happened however I remember feeling sort of sad for Patti during her 10th anniversary show. I don't recall too many other hosts taping well wishes although Lisa R. did do a quick walk on to congratulate Patti. I don't think that it is unusual for a person to periodically evaluate where they find themselves in life. I don't know Patti's age however I do know that some milestone birthdays trigger introspection and evaluation. I think most of us can relate to times in our lives when we've stopped and said ' Wow, this is not the path that I thought I'd be taking' or 'Wow, I hoped to be in a different place in my life'.

Whatever the reason, I hope that Patti finds what she's looking for. Life is too short to be unhappy.

I agree with you. Though Patti is not one of my favorite hosts, it did seem quite apparant to me too that some of the other hosts were being given things that Patti was not afforded, whether there were reasons or not, we will never know.

She did the right thing; if she was unhappy, she needed to move on. There's no need to be somewhere that doesn't bring you happiness. Life is way too short.

Having read the link provided in the original post, she mentions a 2 year old named Fin, waiting to see his dad. Who is she referring to?

Excellent observations. Whether Patti was pushed to leave or not those signs were on the wall.

I think Patti is close to 40. I agree with your post but would like to add that she seems to be wandering around lookingn for siomething..maybe in life and on the Q. Her personality is just not what is needed on air, I can't really explain it, but most of you know what I mean. I wish her well, but I am glad she is moving on

Yep--when you've learned how to fake sincerity, you've got it made. Wink

Sounds like she wants a family, now that she's achieved fame and fortune. Whatever the case....BUH..BYE!!

I does. I didn't even think she has a boyfriend. I don't particulary care for her, but can't help but feel sad for her.

I heard that she was leaving on Monday, 03/07 after doing the Quacker Factory show, but she is still on the host page. I wonder what happened.

Someone stated that Mary Beth was "bounced" from the Wed. night gold show. Actually, she started working fewer hours, and mostly during the day. Since gold has gone sky high, the regular Wed. gold show has ceased to exist.
