Q Did What?

Has anyone ever returned anything after the 30 day policy?

I ordered and received the waterfall showerhead back at the end of February and it only lasted 3 mos.  It wasn't a ton of $$$ but it literally fell apart.  I even tried to fix it but no luck.  What do you think my chances are for returning?

I would return it. I returned several things a while back I was keeping but when I thought about the money spent for defective items I returned them.....NO problem. My account was credited.

I returned a bracelet that broke after the second wearing, but it was well after the 30 days. I called customer service, and they gave me the choice of replacing or refunding. I said I would take a replacement. Since I had my original receipt, I just sent it back like a regular return, per their instructions, and they told me to write "DEFECTIVE" on the receipt. I also wrote that I would accept replacement or refund. They ended up refunded me the money, plus the return postage cost. It was very easy since I still had the invoice.

I just returned two pairs of Joan River's so called flexible readers from her last TSV because they cracked in half at the nose piece and before that I had returned a B Makowsky handbag after 5 months because the straps started to crack and come apart...Just call CS and explain what happened and they will tell you to send the item back...Print out their return label and ask them to credit the shipping since the item was defective...

I returned something after 4 months with no problem.

Yes, you should return it.  I don't think you will have a problem.  I just returned a Bethlehem lights hanging basket because the lights wouldn't work anymore.  I had purchased it in December.  I have returned many times after the 30 days and have never had a problem.  I have always been treated very well by c/s.

Returned a Sealy Mattress Pad about nine months after receiving because the elasticized skirt began to come apart from the pad. Called Customer Service and they sent a prepaid label to return the defective mattress pad and then a full credit for the QVC price + SH were posted to my original form of payment (credit card) soon after.

Personally, never have had any problems with returns to QVC, whether it was returned within the 30 days or months after a purchase.

Sure! Your case warrants a call to customer service for a full refund and paid return shipping.  Anytime a product is defective in a short period of time, calling in for credit is a must do! I had a product problem, and Q refunded me. they had a beauty product that not only was bad, it bleached out a new Carole Hochman outfit -- they replaced the outfit and refunded for the beauty product. I don't think you will have any problem. I purchased one great shower head years ago, that still works well....but I purchased another that was a pain and returned it asap. I suspect you won't be the only one with a return, and you are doing other customers a favor. this is where not being able to re-edit reviews drives me crazy!

Call them.  I have never found them to be unreasonable.  If the item literally broke and it hasn't been too long a time after the 30 day period, then I suspect they'll make some kind of adjustment.  I did return a ring once because a prong broke off.  They couldn't have been nicer.  It was after 30 days and they offered me a refund, although I decided to try an exchange for the same ring.  I probably should've taken the money!

It is my understanding that the 30-day period is for UNCONDITIONAL money-back returns. No questions asked. After that a return is up for negotiation. If a product clearly does not perform after a reasonable length of time, it would make perfect sense for QVC to stand behind it. I would definitely call customer service and discuss the issue with them. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I haven't had much experience, but the one time I had to return something after  30 days, they offered to give me spendable cash at QVC, which was fine. A full refund would've been nice, but since I do buy regularly there, I was glad they took it back at all. Just a thought if you get any pushback.

I bought a leather coat a few years ago, and lost weight so it was too big.  After having it about six months or more, they let me exchange it for another size.  I did not wear the other one, but how do they know?  Anyway I was quite surprised that Q accepted an exchange.  PJ Smile

Return it.  I had a steam mop that broke after 3 months and i shipped it right back.  No problem.  QVC is pretty good about returns like that in my experience.

Defective things are ALWAYS taken back, in my experience.

I've had things 3+ mo. and gotten full credit, even those that weren't defective.

I think they have a very liberal return policy. I've returned a few things I've saved for gifts for my family and they either didn't like them or something was wrong. They might not refund the shipping charges though, right?

Thanks everyone!  I just hung-up with customer service and sure enough they told me to return within the next 10 days for my refund.  In the beginning, the CS rep said she'd have to look and see how long it had been and she was a little bit snippy but then she confirmed I could return and was very nice after...

I also returned a B Makowsky bag after several months because the handles started cracking.  I delayed and delayed because I just loved that bag.  But it got so bad I was ashamed to carry it.  So I just sent it back with an explanation, thinking what have I got to lose at that point.  They gave me credit with no fuss.  They changed to leather handles from the vinyl they had been using and I have bought three bags since.  All have been fine.  I'm glad I gave this line another chance, its my all time favorite.

I have also sent back a few items over the years after the 30 day policy and was fully credited by the Q. I always put a little note with the return slip and fully explained why I did.

QVC has one of the best return policies on the internet--I would say A+. Over the years I have had 3 or 4 occasions where something needed to be returned after 30 days. I call CS and they are very nice. You certainly don't get that with HSN. That's why most of my shopping is with QVC.

That's one thing I have to say about QVC. I have never had a problem returning something, even after the 30 day money back guarantee. I don't send back very many items, though.

I returned a Susan Graver top with sparkles on it. Wore it once, washed it as directed, and some of the sparkles came off. It was very noticeable, so I called. No problems with returning it, and got my money back. Have to give QVC credit for their generous return policy.
