It's not just QVC pkgs. Just had a pkg from HSN make it as far a Dayton and then transferred to USPS. The tracking site said to allow 1 to 2 extra days.

I had a fedex pkg transferred to USPS about 2 weeks ago as well.

It's all very strange.

I know it delays the arrival by one day, but I don't mind it. At least I know what time of day it will be delivered, as my mail carrier is very efficient and her schedule is very steady.

Most of that kind of thing is flown from Seattle to Anchorage. Don't care who finishes delivery.

I always think about The Night Listener or Catfish when I post.

USMAIL is SOOOO slow. I much, much, much prefer UPS.

Does not really bother me but Why do they do it? Is that why shipping is so expensive? Each company gets paid for shipping costs.

I do hate it and I'm not paying for UPS anymore since they transfer it to USPS anyway.

I prefer USPS. When I have the option to choose a shipper, I always choose USPS. Never have a problem.

YES I hate it! If I had mail delivery I would not care, but in my village I have to go to the post office to pick up my mail - and the only time I can get to the window to get packages is on Saturday because of my work commute and the hours. VERY frustrating!

I hate UPS with a hot passion. They mess up all my deliveries and they are located really far from me and I cannot go there to pick anything up. Everytime I order something and I know UPS is invloved I have to ship to my best friends address to get my deliveries. My UPS guy refuses to leave pkgs and things always get returned to the sender. It is super stressful and I have to really work to get deliveries. I always choose USPS if there is an option. If there is no option my friend gets my deliveries and I have to go to her place to pick things up. UPS has the worse CS ever. They rarely even leave delivery notices, I have to telepathically figure out when they've been here or constantly check tracking info. UGH.

I do not like it as it delays the delivery by at min. 1 day and up to 3 days. Ups goes by my house every day of the work week many times. Hello Q are you listening????? My mail carrier says there is an agreement between ups and the Q. Apparently the Q saves money on the shipping. The Q should be shipping air with the amount they charge us.

Yes I agree! My packages have been sent to USPS for about the past year, according to my UPS driver. Wonder why??

I don't like it either as it delays delivery and I'm the one paying for it. I prefer UPS over USPS anyday. USPS is slow and unpredictible.

I hate it, too. The computer shows my package as delivered, but it actually was delivered to the post office and I have to wait another day for it!!

It doesn't delay it anymore than if it went USPS the entire trip. If you want it sooner, select the UPS Express shipping option.

Agreed....but you can choose UPS as your delivery method and usually the cost is the same. I am usually not in a hurry but that extra day is irritating.

It irritates me too and now HSN is doing that also. Must be saving them money since I don't see any break in shipping costs for us!

It saves the shipper, whoever it may be money. Why pay the UPS man 31.00 an hour to deliver packages to homes when he can deliver huge bags to the post office and then the USPS delivers to you. It is a savings UPS provides to the shipper. If you want UPS choose UPS GROUND in the drop down menu. Or tell the CS rep you want UPS, or vice versa. UPS is generally faster than USPS depending on where you live and where item ships from.

HSN tells me that anything under 10lbs will go VIA USPS

I think it is a way of helping/appeasing the post office whose integrity numbers are tumbling, their prices rising and the unions about to scream for higher wages which we know will be granted by the man who is owned by the labor unions and George Soros.

Totally ridiculous, but even if it were remotely true, better than being owned lock, stock, and barrel by the energy industry, a.k.a., the Koch brothers (link).

More often than not USPS delivers faster than UPS for me so I never choose that option.

Put me in the I don't care too much column, but I suspect that's because I don't buy a whole lot and I don't buy on impulse.

In the early days of QVC when I was buying lots of TSV's and was excited by the whole concept of buying from TV, I was more aware of how long it took for my things to arrive (definitely longer then than now!), but now not so much. When the package arrives, it's here. I don't even check until 4 or 5 days after ordering which means lots of times the package is here before I go looking for tracking info.

Our UPS servie is wonderful- our mailman does not care if her ever delivers your mail or damages it or drops it in a puddle. Please let us choose between them- I would pick UPS every time! BJR.

I like usps over ups here in the country. My old ups man was an older man and would come in our gate and bring packages to the door. the new(younger)guy won't come in the gate, and if he has to have a signature, I have to go to their store, and trust me that is a pain, we live 15 miles from town. I tried talking to the supervisor, but she told me that he is not required to come through our gate, and the old guy was just doing us a favor. She told me I would have to pen my dog and leave the gate open for him to deliver something that needs a signature. I understand that some people have mean dogs and such, but he knows us and knows our very old sweet mastiff doesn't bite. I feel he is exploiting the rules to keep from having to do a little extra work. this is bad for most of us in the country have fenced yards with gates for the sake of our animals. On the other hand I have had the same mail lady for some years, she knows me well and I know when she is coming. If I had my way, nothing would come UPS.
