Anybody own either of these. My friend has the nuwave and swears by it. I of course checked q.v.c. and saw they have the flavor wave. Wondering if you guys have it and what you think of both. which is better?

I have both and like both of them. In my experience thus far the Nuwave cooks a bit faster, but the Flavorwave has the very nice glass bowl that will be last longer as the previous Nuwave I had (as many will attest to) had the plastic dome crack due to the inability to withstand repeated/daily use over a period of time.

Either one of these units are good and will very nicely replace a large oven for most things. My favorite of all time was the Jet Stream Oven, but I replaced no less than 3 domes and several other pieces of its plastic.

I really wish that they would develop a heat tolerant plastic for the JSO and Nuwave and until then, the Flavorwave/Supentown glass units work very well.

Furthermore, in support of my choice of the JSO, it cooks much faster than either the Nu or FW t ype ovens and I remember one Thanksgiving that I had my young boys that I used 4 expander rings and a turkey stainless steel vertical roaster and cooked a 23 lb turkey in less than 4 hours.

Certainly the most entertaining units are the JSO as you can literally watch pop and fresh rolls rise and brown in front of your eyes in less than 3 minutes..

Since 1992 I really have grown to enjoy these ovens and have only a few times in these years since used my regular oven.

I have one of these ovens too--I've had it at lest 15 years and use it all the time. I have the one with the glass bowl and the metal rings. I roast veggies in it that are so good. Haven't tried to do much baking in it though.

What is the capacity these ovens will take? Could I make 2 chickens at once?

well mine has an expander ring but dont think 2 oven stuffers would fit. it will hold a turkey, nota hughmongust one, smaller sized one. nascar fann
