HELP! My Keurig is clogged!

The very bottom part (right above where you put your cup) seems to be clogged.  I tried to brew a cup of coffee and I barely got half a cup.  Should I just try running water through it?  Anything else?

Thanks in advance.

Ok, I'll try that.  Thanks.  I just got this Keurig not too long ago so I don't know what I'm doing.  Are clogs common?

This seems to be a very common problem.  It happened to me just a week or so ago so I went online looking for a solution and came upon pages of people who experience the very same problem.  One page I found gave the solution but I'm not good at following instructions so try as I might, I couldn't figure it out.   Rather than to make things worse, hubby suggested we call Keurig and ask them to walk us through the solution and they did, in 30 seconds it was fixed and the only tool we needed was a paper clip.

Don't ask me how it got fixed, I wasn't paying attention while hubby was fixing it, but the Keurig CS Rep told us that because this is a frequently occuring problem that they put the instructions right inside of the manual that comes with the machine.

Sometimes descaling helps, othertimes this works better so if you have your manual then follow the instructions in there and if not, give Keurig CS a call.  They were helpful and courteous and helped us get the job done.

I need to do that with mine, I can tell it's getting slow.  I ran plain water through a few times but it must need something a little stronger.

If you just got your machine recently, it's unlikely to need the vinegar flush. They recommend that every 3 - 4 months. You probably have some grounds stuck in the little holder where you insert the K-cup. The needle that pierces the top of the K-cup gets clogged. It should tell you how to remove and clean it in your owner's manual. That's what you need the paper clip for. It's just the right size to unclog the needle once you remove the holder from your machine. Good luck!

Actually, you don't even need to remove the holder to unclog the needle.

Gently raise the handle as far as it will go (just as you would do to insert a new coffee k-cup). Look under the handle where you'll see a sharp, fairly large sized, needle point that punctures the top of the k-cups. Unwind a metal paper clip and gently insert one end of it into the needle. It won't go very far so don't attempt to force it -- just gently turn the paper clip a time or two and the needle will be unclogged.

And this is also covered in your user's manual, as is how to do the vinegar cleaning and how often.

Clean nitm mper directions that come with it-including using the paperclip to clean out the dispensing tube.
