How many pierogies?

Started 1268451514.067 in Kitchen & Food Talk | Last reply 1268455793.137 by Loves2save

I'm cooking pierogies for dinner (from a box out of the freezer.  Not making my own).

The box says a serving size is three per person.  Three looks tiny.  How many is a normal serving?

DH is pretty hungry, usually.  He eats more than I do.  I'm thinking five for him and four for me.

Like the Mrs. T ones?  I can eat at least 6 myself, and I usually have something with them.  After you boil them, fry them in butter and onions for a bit - sooooo goood!

I can eat 6 of them too, love them fried with butter and onions.  (looking over at my freezer thinking about making some)

If lost please return me to my kitties.

Six it is.  Thank you so much Laughing  I am going to boil them then fry them in butter with onions, but I'm also making a mushroom sauce for dipping.

I'm hoping DH will open a bottle of wine to go with them.  Sometimes he brings work home and doesn't want to drink on Friday night.

Ooh!  We love them too and I could eat 3 to 5 depending on what else we're having. :)

Six, easily.

Don't forget a dollup of sour cream on the side....  Tongue out

Three would be as a side dish. Now for my son he could eat the whole box himself and often does. I also boil, then fry in butter and onions.
