Hands down it has to be Dawn dishwashing liquid. I'll admit I will buy whatever national brand that I can find on sale for a really good price, but Dawn is the very best.

I'm sure you will get answers for some of the newer organic and all natural stuff, but I think it is too pricy for what it is used for.

Ditto for Dawn. I will generally pick up extra when on sale, as I use it for other things besides dish washing. Would not consider using anything else.

I love both Dawn and Palmolive. Dawn cuts the grease but Palmolive is soft on your hands.

Dawn is good, but to me, nothing beats Ivory.

I've used Lemon Fresh Joy for absolutely EONS and I cannot seem to quit it.

But I also have some of the Dawn on hand because that stuff really IS amazing. It's a little strong-smelling for me (I just have the orig blue one) but at least the scent isn't an offensive one, so I use it for big jobs of all kinds.

Blue Dawn!! Husband kept buying the Ajax because it was less expensive until we went over and over about it not doing as good a job and having to use more of it to get the job done - hence no money saving there.

For some reason I cannot tolerate the lemon scented ones, the smell makes me nauseous. Joy, any of them. I had to tell my sister one Thanksgiving at her house that I couldn't assist with the dishes because her dishwashing liquid was making me ill - you should have seen the look she gave me!!

I use the liquid from Shaklee. It is SUPER concentrated- only a few drops are necessary.

I use this all the time, too - mostly because I get the giant one at Costco or BJ's (whichever has a coupon).

I tried Method recently (BOGO) and they are really nice scents (I tried cucumber and clementine because of the colors. Nice pump bottle too. I'll refill from Palmolive LOL.

original blue Dawn. I also splurge on Caldrea. So worth it.

I buy the 16 oz size at WM for only $1.08, cheaper to buy 2 of these than 1 larger size. Uusally have coupon for $1 off 2.

Dawn - It's been used for years to clean wildlife damaged by oil spills, and it handles my greasy dishes without "ruffling my feathers"{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

We use store brands. They seem to work for us.

Whatever is on sale! I've been using Ajax lately ... but just about anything will do.

I don't have dishwasher, and don't want one. I prefer doing them by hand.

Dawn is outrageously expensive in my area, so I only buy it every so often. Mostly I use lemon-scented Ajax or other store brands and they do a very good job. But I made a big mistake a week or so ago - I bought a generic and it's absolutely awful. I had to use a large amount and the suds disappeared quickly. Despite so many people telling me that generics are fine, I will never go that route again. {#emotions_dlg.sleep}

I only buy the original Dawn. Never thought I would be loyal to a dish soap. LOL

You can't buy love but you can adopt it. Adopt, don't shop.

Dawn. They love birds and such! I'll pay whatever it cost to support that company because of that. http://wildlife.dawn-dish.com/en_US/savingwildlife/home.do

Liquid Ivory soap. Of course!

I just read most of the answers. I VOTE for blue DAWN. I wash all my dishes by hand 99% of the time. I find Dawn lotion dish soap best during winter dish washing.
