Plastic container to put your Baking Soda in for the Frig.....look at the price

It was two cheap, plastic containers with a dial with painted numbers so you could put the dial to the date you put the container into the frig. $26 plus tax. Doubt they paid more than a dollar apiece for the containers. And it was for the small boxes I think.

I just saw this when I logged into the boards--unreal! I like to keep baking soda in my fridge, too. But I open it up and put in the back on a deep shelf. No need for a little container!

QVC does not price their merchandise according to what it is worth ... how can they put a price of over $400 on a blender? ... and yet, people buy and they sell out ... go figure ...

I use the ugly yellow box Arm and Hammer sells it in. Have for 50 years now.

The Vitamix is cheap in comparison even though it costs more.

I don't have a VitaMix, but QVC's price is right in line if not lower than anywhere else. Now, is it worth that price? That's up to each of us to figure out.

They don't price Vitamixes high. They are that price no matter where you buy it. They last for years.

I love mine and it is worth every penney. I bought my from Vitamix though, not from QVC. Mine was a reconditioned one. It was still $300 plus (can't remember exact price).

So writing the date on the box before placing it in the refrigerator is too challenging for some people?

The dial is a thermometer, not a date minder.

Guess I didn't pay good enough attention. No wonder it costs so much. LOL.

Well after you break the top of the box open with your bare hands, it can be trying. Every once in a while I throw caution to the wind, defy every decorators sense of style and put the baking soda into an old Tupperware cereal bowl and place it on the fridge shelf. For company to see, and everything!!. I know, I know..no class.

What is wrong with this picture? Open the box and put it in the back of the fridge. Will the decorator box keep the fridge fresher? Gosh, we are getting lazier all the time. I can't even believe QVC would offer this to the public. It's a "no brainer"! Someone has too much $$$ to waste. What the heck were the buyers thinking to even put this product on the air?

Hey..........Maybe they will come out with a gadget to open the baking soda box, so as not to break a nail...............{#emotions_dlg.lol}

Don't you wonder how many of these they've sold? Really, it is mind-blowing that people line up to buy such items. Personally, I don't even use the "ugly yellow Arm and Hammer box". I use the cheaper store brand baking soda box. Have for years. Works perfectly. And the last time I bought it, the price was under 50 cents.

They were thinking: "Man! I bet there are some people out there who are really dumb enough to pay $26 for a plastic baking soda container. Line up a show host and let's make some money!"

Me too, and I write the date I opened it right on the box, nothing fancy, but does the job the same.
