Wagner Magnalite pots & pans - how to clean?

Can anyone tell me how to clean Wagner Magnalite cookware? I've inherited an old (probably 50+ years old) oval roaster & a sauce pan, but I haven't tried cooking in it yet because I don't know how to clean it. I seem to remember hearing not to use cleanser or steel wool pads or the dishwasher. Also, any tips for cooking with this old Magnalite would be greatly appreciated. tia

We have an old Wagner pot. We use a steel wool soap pad. We've also used Barkeeper's Friend. We don't use the dishwasher. If I remember correctly, a couple of years ago, there was a website for Wagner (it was apparently still in business in Ohio). Do a search and see if it's still there and see if there are any cleaning tips.
