I'll have to admit I love cookbooks. But I do get so many recipes online, food network, the cooking channel, HERE and I love to cook so I'm good with another book. Not sure I'll get his or not.

You do know that not everyone is internet savvy right? Or even own a computer but do own TVs and phones. The posters here know how to use the internet and get recipes there. Good for you! {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

They teased all day long. I think to lure people away from the NFL playoffs. Why today do they have this "big announcement" about a cookbook coming out in the fall?

They are going to milk this for all its worth. Not coming out until fall and we'll be reminded of it 10 times a show, contests for customer recipes probably, advanced orders, then bringing in a small amount so it sells out quickly whipping his followers into a frenzy. I mean really, probably none of these recipes will even be original. Maybe it'll be 50 receipes for mac and cheese. Well, glad he's going to have fun putting it together.

It's "comfort" food? High fat, high calorie, gooey cheesy? NOT my kind of food. I actually did like a lot of the things old Bob cooked. I don't care for the newest QVC trends of cheese piled on cheese and baby food like mac and cheese. It's ok once in awhile, but they've beaten this poor dead horse enough.

Big Deal. Who gives a hoot? Cookbooks are a dime a dozen even though I do love them. Not buying this one.

If your going to be sarcastic at least get it correct, it's ' Dillusions of grandeur' NOT, illusions. Why all the nasty comments?

i think the comments are a direct response to" much ado about nothing". I mean what else in the world could it have been except a cookbook? I do not think the comments are meant to be nasty to DV,,,but to the hype around the obvious. But I could be wrong...

So the big announcement is that David will "write" a cookbook? David's not a chef or a cook, he's a salesman, a wonderful one I'll grant you, but far from a cooking expert. Read carefully what he wrote today,

"“Food for Thought” this week is a thank you to my team all the folks who help make my recipes for In the Kitchen with David. Every month, I meet with the In the Kitchen with David team to determine which recipes we should make based on our show theme. Then, with my guidance, the culinary team whips up a recipe — always from scratch — and ensures the measurements are correct and the taste is perfect, but the overall time spent in the kitchen is minimal. That way, you’re completely satisfied when you recreate the dish at home. On the day of the show, I make that very same recipe on camera."

Read between the lines. It's not David who comes up with the recipes, it's the QVC culinary team, some of whom I'd guess have some culinary training.

I would not buy it NOR do I need another cookbook!

I did purchase MaryBeth's and Bob's a long long time ago -- I still go to them for entertaining ideas.

Other than that - can't wait for my annual yard sale (or donating) them - I have much too many and some I've never even looked in!

But, good luck to David for his new book (hopefully it's better than the hype of Blue Jean Chef - which I got as a gift -- still in the box!)

I'm sure some people like cookbooks, but I don't want another cookbook!!!! I have a lot already, and prefer finding a recipe online with reviews.

I have no interest in buying David's cookbook, however; I enjoy watching David.

Respectfully ~
Kate
