Anybody order the Today's Special yesterday on HSN - the David's Cookies combo of bakery items? I did and have never tried that line. Any opinions on it? Price was incredible for all you get. Hope it's good!

I have only ordered once and it was their whoopi pies and I threw them in the trash and HSN refunded. They were dry and totally tasteless. I hope you have better luck because that was a good price.

I forgot about it until 11:30 last nite ... then they were sold out .. so I ordered the crumb cake assortment because I had a $10 off coupon ...

Their crumb cake is the best ... I also like the pecan meltaways ... I put them in the freezer and just take out what I need ... the brownies are delicious too but I can no longer eat chocolate so I usually give those to my daughter ... may just keep one or two for myself ...

Home Goods and TJ Maxx carries David's Cookies and I've tried several varieties. They are good. I ordered the TS because of the crumb cake and brownies. It was a good price, and I'm not too picky, so I'm sure I will enjoy them.

I also see them in Ross stores at holiday time.

My only concern is - how fresh will this stuff be? Because if they had to produce thousands of these variety packs to be ready to ship immediately, I just wonder how far ahead they made the bakery? And yet I still rolled the dice so we'll see. But I'll be paying careful attetnion to how fresh it tastes.

Am I the only person who does not like crumb cake....we sell a ton of them where I work and they always look so unappealing...dry looking...tasteless comes to mind...I watched the HSN TS at midnight...and the crumb cake was why I didn't order...

I bought the Halloween cookie jar that had brownies with it a couple of years ago.

The brownies were very good & moist. They didn't last long with my 2 boys!

The TS was my first David's cookies purchase too. I will be saving for Christmas Eve/Day. I ordered before the TS presentation so I could use a free s&h coupon. I didn't stay up to hear them talk about how to store these...does anyone know if they will be ok for Dec 25th if they are being delivered next week?

I know they said you could freeze them & take out when you need. But I don't know how long they'll last at room temp. I wanted to review the on-air presentation to see what they say but of course it's not on the site any longer since the item sold out. I hate when they do that! {#emotions_dlg.angry}

They should leave the listing but just remove the Add To Cart button so people can't buy.

I, too,ordered the TS..I thought it was an excellent price, even though I despise crumb cake, circles...I have tried and sent most of their products and I have never had stale...their scones are very good..I am going to keep them in the fridge until I use them then let them come to room temp...since they are supposedly preservative free I wouldn't chance leaving them out... By the way, Claudia, the whoppi pies WERE disgusting...mine joined yours in the trash!!

I thought the crumb cake looked very good during the presentation. Very moist and thick/high pieces. I'll definitely warm it a little in the microwave before eating. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

CWS22.... my DH loves crumb cake particularly David's and he does exactly what you are planning on doing...he said it has never been dry and it is very, very good.

I have ordered the tins of individually wrapped brownies and crumb cakes a couple of times in the past and bought them for gifts as well and they were WONDERFUL, especially the crumb cake! That being said, I decided last year to order a similar "try it all" set that they were offering at if I remember correctly around the same price as this TS. It was HORRIBLE! Everything was so stale and dried out. I will never order another try it all, where the items are in trays. I think they make those up too far in advance and they don't stay fresh. I think the key is to order the individually wrapped pieces. Those have always been super moist and delicious!!! I hope those of you that ordered yesterday have better luck. I will stick to the tins!

Thank you, I think I will just freeze them when I get them and take them out the night before.

I too have ordered this selection last year as a TSV or this visit only price....

I thought it was great ! My DH loves the crumb cake ! The rest of us loved the blondie brownies ! and the kids ate the choc. dipped brownies...they were like little choc bars of cake. The nut cookies (delicious with coffee) were a hit with my Dad ...so there really was something for everyone and the cakes came delivered very fresh !

I wouldnt hesitate to order from them the next time.

I was very tempted but didn't order. I'm not a huge fan of brownies but I'll eat them. Love crumb cake and have always been tempted by David's. If this set had included cookies, I would have caved.

I had a credit on Ruelala and they offered David's brownies so I decided to order. I received them today. I ate a blondie (my favorite). Wasn't blown away. The taste was decent but it was so dry and crumbly. I thought brownies/blondies were supposed to be moist? I might try one brownie but I'm planning on giving them away. This could have been old product but the same configuration is offered on their website.

I always send one of my dear friend's "david's cookies" every year. I also send her one of their cute cookie jars. This time it was the cow with the chicken on it's back. I don't eat them, but she loves them.

Thanks. I did see those. I guess I never considered those a cookie. Not that they aren't-just never thought of them that way.

I got curious and took a nibble of a brownie from the set I ordered. Very moist. Maybe blondies are just drier in texture. The other varieties appear moist except one with some kind of topping. Its already kind of crumbly in wrapper.

Crumbcake lovers, Walmart now carries Paula Deene's crumbcake in both cinnamon and blue berry flavors. It is very good and reasonably priced. It is in the deli/bakery section. I like the cinnamon best.

How can the quality be good when they had around 30,000 orders or more? How can it be homemade like they say?

Her baked goods at Walmart are really good, except the bourbon pecan pie.

This was my concern also so I guess I'll find out when it arrives.

On the other hand, think about how many thousands of baked goods Hostess and Lil Debbie churn out each day and yet people love their stuff and keep buying it. So just because the batches are large doesn't necessarily mean they're terrible.
