Need pineapple juice substitute

I have several recipes that call for pineapple juice. Mainly swet-sour & Polynesian. They sound great.

But pineapple or pineapple juice causes my salivary glands to swell. Very painful for a few days.

Any ideas for a substitute?

If it were me I might try some rice vinegar and honey. Rice vinegar is a mild acid, and the honey would give you some sweet with it.

That may work. I will talk a friend who can drink pineapple to tate the mixture to see the the sweet/sour ratio is right.

I hope it works for you, Brabls. If so, you'll have to let us know 'the recipe'.

Brabls, are you also sensitive to OJ?

No. I like OJ. I was thinking about an OJ/mango mix to get the fruit flavor & add the rice venegar & honey to boost the sweet/sour.
