Foodsaver problem - "drip tray full" but it's not

The light won't go out, even after cleaning, drying and unplugging the machine.

Anyone have any suggestions?

You didn't specify which model you own. We have the stainless upright and there are contacts on th machine and drip tray. I'll take a toothbrush and spray cleaner and clean those areas, dry them and then put tray back in machine.

Good Luck.......

Thanks RASHIKE. I'll try that. I have the same upright stainless one that you have. I also emailed FoodSaver for help.

I have called Foodsaver in the past, with a problem, and found them to be very helpful and knowledgeable. If it is still in warranty (I always assume that people send in, or complete online, the warranty information so that they have you registered with the item) they are great about sending out a new one, if they cannot fix it with you over the phone, and sending you a prepaid label to return the old one.
