Why do you think that QVC discontinued the Barry Cord line?

There were some nice, substantial, unique pieces. I know it was a popular line, but it seems to have disappeared. Just one item is available now, at a clearance price.

Just curious!

I have no idea but I thought it was a great line of jewelry.

It was mentioned in one of the blogs that Barry Cord is coming back - I think with a new line.

I HAVE NO IDEA!!!! What a fantastic line and you could throw it against a brick wall and it would look as good as new.I am saving my cuffs just for their silver weight alone beside using(may need for food later when the dollar tanks).Sorry I gave away my Peter the snake cuff but have the ring and elephant set-love it!!!{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}...."you are tenacious like bull"...

I wouldn't believe it. Someone said that Seidengang was coming in with new pieces, but I haven't seen more than two.

Bottom line -- like every other product line, it has to be mutually financially beneficial to each member of the party.

Peyton Kelly posted about the relaunch of this line in one of his blogs. You can scroll through them to find out exactly what he said. It is definitely coming back.

All I know is his alligator rings go for much more than new on ebay. I've been looking for one for a couple years now. The skinny one, not the wide one. I have the bracelet and of course I wasn't smart enough to realize he wouldn't be on QVC forever. I hope this rumor is true.

Well, hopefully his prices haven't increased too much for the new line. I wonder what beauties we'll see!

He has "reinvented" his Q line more than once. I liked the first one, the "alligator" series I called it. Like the previous poster, I really wanted the ring with the diamond eyes, thought it would be around forever but it wasn't!

I loved his pieces had his bee charm on waitlist for months and never got it..Still not happy with that oh well. I'm sure the line he brings back will not be the quality of what was on before another sign of the times. If only I had order all the items I wanted back in the day. Just another reason I shop more and more in the antique shops as they say "they don't make stuff like that anymore".

Barry Cord has always had some of the best made, most solid, wonderfully inventive silver jewelry. I don't have a lot of pieces but what I do have is very weighty and very unique. I really hope that he maintains his integrity and doesn't come back with pieces that use alternative metals i.e. brass or are no longer finished off as well as previous pieces.

Is this Kieselton (sp?)/Cord jewelry offered years ago? He was famous for the alligator belt buckles and had a very popular line of silver - one of the first designer silver lines out there? I have a pair of 14k yellow gold earrings bought from the Q ages ago that were part of his Q collection. They are small dangles w/3 tiny diamonds, in a crown shape. They are very nice.

I wish he would do belt buckles like his high end line.

You really get your money's worth with Barry Cord's pieces. I just love mine. I have the Peter the Snake ring, and the Tortoise and the Hare cuff and necklace.

I suppose for the same reason other lines are discontinued - probably not as popular as we thought. I was lucky enough to get one of his pieces on clearance and it's beautiful. Will be interesting to see what he brings next. I hope they don't dumb it down.

I have his Safari cuff and pendant and love them!!! I am STILL kicking myself for not buying his double alligator cuff. I had that in and out of my cart so many times. I just thought it was so much for a sterling cuff back then, but boy, I wish I had known!!! It was so different!! I still kick myself. Unfortunately, live and learn!! He makes beauitful jewelry!!

That cuff is stunning (I have it) and it is often on eBay.
