Kathy Levine's heart ring

Started 1283657524.64 in Jewelry Talk | Last reply 1292628232.67 by gigot

I have been told very straight that Kathyn Levine's Heart ring is about ready to return to the Q. However at this time, she has been told a no go, due to the fact it would not work back with her La Vintage line. I say please bring it back!!!

Hi Bluegrass horses, and "hi" to Sunshine 45 !!

Who is making such a foolish decision ??

Diamonique seems to NEED a new/even-if-old, SUCCESS STORY !!

I can't get over ....HOW MANY GALS ....STILL bring up this ring! I've never seen one,

but know it must be lovely, as it has been one of ALL TIME popular pieces, for Diamonique!

Like Lisa Mason's flower ring duplicates, people love this ring, associated still, with Kathy Levine!

Bring it back, Q !! Silly not to....

DM Tiara

I own it and still love it after all these years! It has so much gold, I would think they would have to do it in clad or (gold or platinum).

If you wear a size 10, you can buy a sterling one on EBay for $60.

I remember Kathy's ring! I always regret that I didn't buy one and do hope they will bring it back. So what if it doesn't work with the La Vintage line. Get over it, already. There's a whole new generation of QVC customers that have never seen the ring. And that, QVC, means more sales for you!

I would love to see it in the Epiphany line so that it wouldn't tarnish. I suppose it would be too expensive now in gold, but would consider buying it if it was offered in the gold clad.

Bring it back, please!

I have it in 14k gold. It weighs a little over 7 grams. Every time I wear it I get compliments on it.

I have the sterling version and still love it as much as when I bought it. Not only is it beautiful, it fits my finger so well and is so comfortable to wear.

I have the ring. It is my wedding ring. At the time that it was first being shown, my husband (fiancee) at the time was getting ready to take me to look for a ring. He knew I wanted something different than a set and was talking about an emerald which is my birthstone. You can imagine how much that would cost. Well, I just happened to turn on QVC and saw Kathy presenting the ring. That was it, I picked her ring over an emerald and I have never regretted it. It is as beautiful today as when he first gave it to me.

One thing is for sure, you will not see another ring with that much gold - solid gold. It is 2 carats and the heart is set with 5 white gold prongs, which I remember her saying is only done in very high in jewelers.

The presence of the criss-cross is just so different. The cost back then, if my memory serves me right, was close to $400. If they duplicated this ring with all this gold, it would probably be more than twice that amount. The heart is so beautiful. You look straight down into it and it looks like a heart within a heart. I still today get so many compliments. I have even had jewelers ask me about it.

Can you tell that I love my ring? No, QVC will never duplicate this ring. It would never look the same. It is one big hunk of gold - solid gold and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

The ring would be a big seller--it was always popular, and DMQ doesn't have many heart rings. It shouldn't be offered as part of the La Vintage line, just DMQ.

I had this ring in sterling but sold it years ago on ebay! {#emotions_dlg.lol}

I was lucky enough to find both versions at the Q Outlet, got them both for a steal, and still love them both.

I know the ring, although I don't own it and it's beautiful. I remember when it was first aired and the phone lines were literally jammed with orders.

I would much rather see Kathy return to the Q as a host. Now that would be great!!

Respectfully ~

This ring is iconic and would be a huge hit. I remember the original 14 K version, but never purchased it. I think my children were young at the time, and I needed my $$ for other things in life. I think it would be stunning in silver and would like to see Q bring it back.

I wear Judith R's emerald wedding band often and when I do, I can count on compliments. Kathy's heart ring is the same kind of ring - - it demands to be noticed.

the ring is vintage QVC, so why not La Vintage? it is prettier than her current line.

here's an idea: why not have Kathy do a DMQ line? she was the DMQ queen for a time...

Can you imagine how much the 14K version is worth now? Probably couldn't touch it on the Q.....

I also have this ring in gold but mine doesn't have the white gold prongs? Mine is almost too small hope I can get a jeweler to make it a little larger.

Reading about Kathy Levine makes me nostalgic for the old days on QVC. It's all so different now it doesn't even seem like the same shopping channel anymore. There was a certain magical (sounds corny, I know) atmosphere back then that seems to be lost. I remember something about the heart ring but never ordered it. I also remember she always seemed to have a little diamond band she was very fond of but ultimately gave to someone, I think it was the editor of her book. That little band was also replicated in diamonique.

I had it in Sterling as well and love it, but when it was too big for me I gave it away.

I wish they'd bring it back, it was a beautiful ring.

It was right up there with J-952 which was the solitaire DMQ ring that I think was one of the very first DMQ rings they made.

I miss the old Q days, too. They had much better products and the hosts were excellent at describing the items. Like you said, it just doesn't seem the same shopping channel anymore.

Ditto. That, and the Virginia Heirloom Ring, are the two that I wish I'd bought back in the day.

Yeah, FINALLY!!!!! Run Trey, run!
