Joseph Esposito / Is he still on QVC

Started 1319114948.17 in Jewelry Talk | Last reply 1326495915.487 by darcey

I looked on line since there was a designer jewelry show today (10/20/2011) and there was no Esposito jewelry. When I did a search for the jewely on the web site, almost everything is on clearance. I guess that means he is gone.....I had a few pieces of his sterling and thought they were nice.

Joe has items in the Insider catalog every month, but I haven't seen him on tv in a long time. I'd guess the economy has hurt his business; anyone know if his production facility is still there?

I haven't seen him in quite some time. I remember checking to see what was available about a month ago and noticing that almost everything was on clearance. I always take that as not being a good sign. Seems like so many things I used to like are gone and what is new I'm not so thrilled about.

I really miss his original line!!! I think it was just called "Sterling Signatures." Can't imagine what happened. It seemed really popular. Then he started making everything with Diamonique. Not that the items weren't nice, but I wish they had the left the original line with a few Diamonique pieces here and there.

I guess he and Cherie Christmas are among the dumpees for QVC. I'd heard both were supposed to be back in the fall, but apparently not. I loved the Sterling Signatures line also along with Francesa Visconti, another vendor no longer with QVC. I guess when Louis Dell O'lio and Joan Rivers are gone, I will be , too!{#emotions_dlg.devil2}

I used to get so excited when Joseph was due to appear with his snap-on pendants. Then they made him start using diamonique and the line when downhill rapidly. It was no longer unique.

After he wwent to Diamonique...it was good-bye bold, original, creative silver pieces and stuff that looked so fake and gaudy...a 25 carat pink "diamond"? I think not.

Would be nice to see him back with great silver instead of RLM Studios IMO.

Quite the gentleman and had great things years ago but for some reason, some want that gaudy stuff and he seemed to oblige with all the Diamonique. I have a feeling the designers are edged to certain prices/trends so the original feel of each is eventually lost, they lose buyers, and/or leave on their own if not asked or given ridiculous time slots.

Joseph has quite a few pieces on the QVC U.K. website. A number of the smart snap enhancers and none of them with Diamonique. Clearly, the British market gets better things; I prefer the Signature Silver to the things that were done here with Diamonique.

As someone said - when you start adding Diamonique to everything, the different ranges lose their individuality.

I know some aren't fans of Robert Lee Morris (I am), but I remember one show where the new (at the time) host Albany was rambling on and said to him "Why don't you do any pieces with our Diamonique? I'm going to make it a priority to get you to do it..." The look of horror on his face...she clearly knew NOTHING about his line or she would never have even suggested it. And he basically said it was NEVER going to happen! Thank goodness.

I see drusy has made it across the pond. I notice their ring sizes are in letters, J, K and O for example. And I see Liz Earle is still carried. Too bad we can't order from QVC UK.

depglass - I remember Liz Earle at Hsn - no longer a vendor there. Maybe after she was here at the Q. Good products.

I have wondered: what is the difference between Q-UK & Q-USA:

for example: Stacey Schefflin (sp?) Model's Prefer Co. - sued Q-USA & won. Yet, she was selling the 'new' brand name YBF at the Q-UK - there is a msg. as of this month (I think).

"You may have heard in January that we'll no longer be selling ybf. We're sorry for any inconvenience this causes to our customers."............ then below that it say's

"watch ybf on qvc tv" & there's a list of channels - sky, virgin tv, etc.

Also, vendors at Hsn/Usa are vendors at the Q in the UK...?
