What metal is Heidi Daus jewelry?

I guess its brass? Do you have an opinion of her line? I saw something I liked for the first time last time she presented -- baguette and pearl pieces. Most sold out. But I have allergies to nickel and would imagine her stuff contains that?

"mystery" metal {#emotions_dlg.lol} But really - I'm not sure. I don't have any of her pieces.

I heard once that it was not silver. We know it's not gold. Mystery may well be correct.

It is not for anyone with sensitivities that is for sure.

It's probably not brass as that's more expensive than a general white base metal and harder to work with, too. Usually only the more expensive costume lines use brass, and while Heidi's line is costly, they're charging more than they should for basic Chinese-made crystal jewelry.

Usually brass(And mineral/metal content can vary even with that) but Heidi's base metal is different depending on the piece. You can easily find out by going to her website-Gail, her assistant, will get right back to you.Her couture line in Paris and other high-end boutiques uses precious metals and stones but those pieces are beyond the reach of most. The prices are high for some for costume, but resell for her old pieces is fab and commands three to four times the original for certain items so some out there really appreciate the difficult, painstaking work involved in the Chinese pieces.

I believe it's bronze but I don't really know much about the metal. I did order a couple of the pieces - they are pretty but I've gotten spoiled with the finishing on the Ripka/Bixby pieces so wasn't that happy with the rings.
