Laminate flooring

Please give me your thoughts.......I just ordered 12mm Laminate flooring for 2nd floor...600 sq ft..........will start professional install tomorrow.....have very little traffic live alone w/ cat.

The 12mm was as thick as hardwood..but laminate less expensive...I can't believe I chose Laminate because I'm really picky but this flooring was more beautiful then wood.

Just thought I would ask anyone if they have this type flooring and their opinion on cleaning and living with it......thanks
