Hi everyone! This is a silly question and sorry, but wanting to send a package and was wondering how it works? We choose the size box we think we need and take it to post office? Do we use bubble wrap? Can we send a card and put a gift card in it? Just wondering. Thanks so much!!! Never sent anything out of state.

You would wrap it securely if it something breakable. You can enclose a card and a gift card. You can either take it to UPS, a UPS store or the post office. The post office has boxes that are $5.95 (I think) and whatever you can stuff inside will ship for that amount of money. Go online to www.usps.com and check it out.

Shipping Tips

The link above will give you some guidelines on the best ways to pack items for shipment. The size of the item and its fragility will help you to decide which carrier makes the most sense for you to use. As RedConvertibleGirl mentioned, the post office has a priority mail flat rate option that works very well for items that are about the size of two shoeboxes or smaller. If you take your package to a UPS store, they can give you the comparative prices for your package between UPS and the post office.

And places like Mail Boxes, etc. will package it for you. You hand them the item (you don't need to provide a box), they do the rest.
