What time of day does your mail get delivered?

Mine used to come around 11:30am, but ever since we moved, I don't even bother checking until the next morning, before I go to work! It's almost 6pm here, and it's STILL not here~~~

It varies. Sometimes it can be close to 10:00, sometimes noonish, or even 2:00 p.m.

I live in Tx and it get's delivered around 5 PM, but sometimes he runs late, I guess filling in for someone on vacation then it could be around 6 PM.

Where I used to live, it came before I left for work in the morning (around 8.10am). Now, it comes any time between noon and 4pm. There's no guessing when it's going to be, within that window. I don't understand why it varies so much.

My UPS lady has a much tighter window, between 11.30 and 2pm, and mostly it's earlier rather than later.

It's the reverse for me. At my old house (2 miles away) the mail came after 5pm. Now, we get our mail at 10am. It's unbelieveable!

Pomeranian-Fluff, be careful about leaving your mail overnight if you can avoid it. I had mail stolen that way and it caused some real headaches.

We get ours by 3 pm.

Where we live the mail stops being delivered by 5:30pm.

Ours comes late also, we call it "next day mail"

PomeranianFluff, oh, it sounds like you live in a place where a lot of mailboxes are all in one place, like an apartment or condo. I have heard from people who also have this kind of setup that their mail is the last stop on the route for them also. Mail gets delivered to them very late in the day/evening.

I live in a house, but that's just the way they do it in Vegas! I absolutely hate it!!! It's the same with UPS...something can go on a truck for delivery at 5am, and I won't get it until 7pm! (the latest they deliver)...at least they bring those packages to my door, though{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I guess I'm lucky, I get my mail by 12:30 in the afternoon. My mailman is great, he will always bring packages up to the door, he doesn't jam things in my mail box.

Our mail typically gets delivered sometime between noon and 1 PM. It is delivered by USPS in a small van and put into our mail box at the end of our driveway. If we are getting a large package, the carrier gets out and it is delivered to our door. I am quite satisfied with the service.

Mine is usually delivered between 10 and 10:30. The day after a holiday is always later, but usually before noon.

Our mail arrives between 11 and noon. It varies a bit on Saturday, but not by much. I am pretty sure mail is not delivered after 5:00 here. Our post office is not even open later than that for business.

I don't get my mil delivered to my residence. I use a PPO. Mail goes at 1:30 pm on Saturday. I can't recall if it goes at 2 or 4 pm the rest of the week.

You are right about the post office not being open after 5 pm or 6 pm....the clerks get to go home. However, the postal carriers have to stay out on the streets until all the mail is delivered. If a carrier finishes early, they have to come back in and help someone on another route. My daughter had been a postal carrier for 10 years and in the winter when folks don't shovel their sidewalks to make walking easier, she's been delivering mail as late as 9:30 pm. That late has only occurred a couple of times....but 7 pm is not unusal at all. She's now a postal supervisor and she can't go home until the last carrier gets back to the office. It's not as easy as some folks think...long hours for carriers.

For years, the mail came about 1:30 p.m., but the route must have changed because now it arrives around 3:30 p.m. UPS comes at 10:30 a.m. FedEx comes around 5:00 p.m.

All of the newer subdivisions here have those mail kiosks, which I hate. I got lucky when I moved to my current home because it still has an individual curbside mail box as the neighborhood is older.

Our mail usually runs between 2:30 - 3:00 PM.

UPS runs a little later, and is usually here by 4:30 PM.

FedEx is the early bird here. They're usually here in the 10:00 -11:30 AM range.

All in all, we have pretty good service.

Fedex and USPS usually come around noon time. UPS around 7pm at night maybe a little earlier

We've been living in my house for about 4 years now and the mail was always delivered between 1:00 and 2:00. Now, it's starting to change. Our mailman doesn't get here until almost 5:00! I don't know why - It's the same guy it's been for years. I'm not sure why it's changed. {#emotions_dlg.confused1}

FedEx comes either at the crack of dawn or early afternoon.

UPS comes after 6:00.

Mail is delivered in the afternoon between 1-3 pm to a mailbox at the end of long driveway along a major route. Large packages are dropped on the ground and small packages are tied to the mailbox. Luckily, the packages haven't gotten soaked by rain or stolen, but they generally reek of cigarette smoke. I'm not surprised the USPS is in big trouble.

My mail delivery is somewhat erratic. Seems like once a carrier gets to know the route, they change carriers! Right now, it's coming between 4 and 5. Some days in recent weeks, it came as late as 6:30. We have locked, cluster mail boxes, so I sometimes just wait and check it the next morning.

UPS: It seems that whenever I have a package, he comes between 5 and 6. When I don't have a package, I seem him in this area before noon!!!!!! At least it seems that way to me!{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}. But I really like the UPS guys that we have anyway.

As to Fedex: They're all over the map. Sometimes they come before noon. Other times, not until 7:30-8:00.

I should say it depends on when it is delivered to any other neighbor's box ! {#emotions_dlg.angry} But not to worry , as we are just as apt -to receive their mail . {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes} Geesh!

She always "forgets" to have any stamps with her and if you receive a package, you know it from the sound of "thud" {#emotions_dlg.ohmy}{#emotions_dlg.angry} ~ when it hits the ground.

The so called "mail person" delivers between 9:00am and 1:00 pm.
