I am having my entire master bath remodeled now and it will be finished in a week or so. We will have a frameless glass shower and I was wondering how hard they are to keep clean. Someone I spoke to said that they use a squeegee after the last person has showered.
I remember a product that our maid used when I was growing up called Glass Wax. Have any of you used something similar?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
I have read that polishing the glass with car wax will help prevent soap scum build up and keep the glass cleaner. I have also heard using a squeegy helps too!
KEEP LOOKIN' UP 'cuz that's where it all is!

if you wanted to try GlassWax it is available on line from the vermont country store
I have ordinary glass shower doors and use a squeegy after shower and also use Scum Buster when I do a real glass cleaning. Have used the auto window cleaners where the water bubbles up after cleaning, but like the Scum Buster the best.
I have always wondered how folks clean those new frameless shower doors and wondered how practical they were because of the upkeep and all. I love the look....so cool. Hope someone posts and gives you a great way to clean them and keep them looking great. When shown on one of the HGTV shows, they always look super.
For my car windows (actually all the glass in my house also) I use Invisible Glass. For the car outside windshield, I then apply Rain-X. I've often wondered if Rain-X would work on the inside of a shower door. Anyone ever try it? (I'm really just curious, since I don't even have shower doors!!!!).
We had a frameless shower installed a year and half ago and the company left an instruction sheet on the door. It stated not to use anything with ammonia. They said to use one third white vinegar two thirds water in a spray bottle. They also said this solution could be used on mirrors. We also use a squeegee on the door and the glass wall every time we are finished with the shower. Never had any problems with it and it looks brand new.
I have a frameless glass shower and I find that if you squeegee it after you shower it cuts down on all the cleaning.
Our frameless shower was coated with something by manufacturer, and we got directions to use a squeegee after each use, (although DH forgets about half the time). That really makes it stay in good condition. We were further instructed it was ok to use a glass cleaner like windex, etc. You might ask those who installed yours, they will probably give you info in the product booklet that you will be given.
Thanks ladies! I have had problems with my internet connection the last 3 days, so I apologize for the delay in responding.
