Valerie's Wreaths?

I wanted to order a couple of Valerie fresh Balsam wreaths as gifts...bill to/ship to. But after reading the reviews, I'm almost afraid to. I would be mortified if my friends received a dead wreath! Would one week's delivery be better than another? Thanks all for any help.

I've ordered Valerie's wreaths for 6 years now and have never really had a problem. However, last year there were more loose needles than usual when I opened the box. It also wasn't fragrant (as in previous years), but it did last a LONG TIME.

I am on Long Island and always get the Thanksgiving week ship-date. My wreath arrives very much alive and lasts until I decide to take it down (usually mid-January).

If you want to play it safe, I would wait until the first December shipment date. It should be fine!!

I have been ordering the VPH Balsam Wreaths for at least 5 years now and have never had a problem. They have smelled great and have always been fresh. Also mine have lasted a long time. I have usually taken them down at the point it gets to be embarrassing to still have a Christmas Wreath up. I was surprised when I read the negative reviews. I have always picked the delivery date of the first week in December. I have heard Valerie suggest that if you live in the South, to go for a later delivery date.

i also have been ordering since 2002...I know cause I have all the bells! i ordered the deliver a few weeks before Christmas. in early December. Never a problem, long lasting and smelled fresh. I live in New York. I usually take mine down right after New Years.

i also suggest, as a gift, that a December ship date and not delivering.

I have ordered them for my folks for several years, and they always have been beautiful and fresh.

I've been ordering Valerie's wreaths for as long as they've been offered. I have never had a problem with them. I usually get mine the week after Thanksgiving and mine stays on my door until the weather starts to warm in March. They have never dried out nor shed that many needles. I send them as gifts too and everyone loves them and has never had a problem.

I ordered a wreath once and it was okay.

However, I guess it depends on what you want in a wreath but I buy mine at Lowes and they have been fantastic. Last year I bought my wreath for $7.00 the day after Thanksgiving. It is a fresh, plain wreath.

It was 24" around which is plenty big for my front door. It is not double sided but that doesn't interest me anyhow because I hang it on the outside of my house and it's not like I can see it inside the house. I put a big gold bow on the bottom of it.

The wreaths are always very fragrant and last forever. Last year I took the gold bow off after x-mas and put a small stuffed snowman on it. Than in February I decorated it for VD day. I finally took it down right after that because I was sick of looking at it.

You can't buy love but you can adopt it. Adopt, don't shop.
