Long tank tops

Started 1334251297.3 in Fashion Talk | Last reply 1334703465.27 by catlvr

Where can I get them? Does anyone have ideas about where to buy long (28-30") tank tops at the Q or somewhere else? TIA

Check JCPenney. They have a fairly good selection of tall sizes.

(I've been known to buy tall men's knit shirts to wear as tunics ... from LandsEnd. I order by chest measurement.)

Do you mean the kind for layering? My daughter wears them all the time. They have a slight ribbed design and come in all colors. Some necklines plunge lower than others.

You can find them in juniors departments.

I like them because they go all the way down and cover up the tummy and backside. Most Women's department tanks stop right below the waistline.

Kohls and they are really cheap!

I've been looking, too. I ended up ordering THIS in white and black. They haven't arrived yet, but I'm hoping they'll be perfect for layering and for wearing under long tunic style cardigans. If they work, I'll order more colors.

I tried being patient but it took too long.

I got some last year from H&M.

I found a whole bunch of ribbed tanks at Target last summer. Great for layering.

If you want something that's not going to stick to you and show all the lumps and bumps of waistbands, then these from Susan Graver are great! I own every color in size XS and they just flow nicely under anything for layering. Also cute belted alone in the summer. Just bigger sizes available now, but here they are:

I prefer longer tanks too. Old Navy had them 4 or 5 years ago. I looked a few weeks ago, and they were all shorter tanks. I have a really hard time finding them too. Years ago Penneys carried black, cream and ivory only in long tanks. They don't have them now --at least when I last looked. If anyone finds any, please post. THANKS

I second the suggestion for Target and also looking in the Juniors departments of stores. I bought 3 very nice tank tops with satin trim at Banana Republic the other day (a bit pricey) that are a longer length.

Express:

I am 5'10".....the best tank tops for tall woman or otherwise, I';ve found at Express at the mall......a blend of cotton and spandex.....long enough to cover low rise pants....they have a little bit of control and round off muffin tops.....I wear scrubs every day to work and wear Express tank tops under each one......also wear every day under all my dress or button type shirts....

Wet Seal - Big Lace Cami. 95% cttn 5% sdex.

You can skrunch it up and nice because there is no shelf bra thingy...There are colors and also neutrals. They do run a bit snug. (Large = sz 9/10 or 38-39" bust):

I buy hanes for men, cheap and long and you can toss them at the end of the season when the white gets funky.

I second on JJill. I just bought this one and it's low hip length and doesn't cling. Pricey but I'm tired of buying cheap tanks just to trash them when they shrink and fall apart.

Long and Lean is the brand I get at target. I layer with long tanks mainly because I cannot stand when I layer with a regular size tank. it enables me to bend over without the tank riding up. The long and lean come in various colors and I usually stock up when Target advertises them on sale. I have other tanks that r long, but I really like the Target Long and lean the best. If you do go check out tanks at target just be sure to look at the tag as it does say long and lean on the tag. sometimes I get lucky and find them in clearance. I saw them recently for $8 and I live in Escondido, california. Best of luck.

Thanks cj--better selection of colors here. I like this style. I don't want long, men's tanks or super long, super loose ones. I want long camis with lace or this style.

I don't find long ones at Kohls, but I do buy Kohls tanks/camis as they are a bit longer than some. I never find long ones at Express. I have a lot of Express sequin tanks, but they all run too cropped. I'm five 8.
