Do you prefer 95% cotton, 5% spandex over all cotton, or do you prefer a different blend? The POLL

Did you see a Poll and did you vote on this? I just saw Carolyn in video A209613, and she mentioned the Poll preference was 95-5. I am personally so sick of this blend I hunt for things that are a more cotton or even blends of different fabrics. I won't order it from QVC even if I like the garment. I think 98 cotton - 2 spandex is perfect.

I prefer 100% cotton for sheets and T-shirts. Now, when it comes time to iron my husband's 100% cotton dress shirts -- I wish they were 95% polyester and 5% cotton.

I like the 98/2 also. I didn't vote - didn't know about it or look for it.

I didn't see the survey either, unfortunately. I think the 95/5 feels spongy. I prefer 100 percent cotton is shirts. No more than 2 percent spandex in jeans or other pants.

95-5 for me in a knit..... never 100 percent cotton. i also like a cotton/poly/spandex blend. i also like the rayon spandex blend.

I prefer some spandex the 95/5 is ok with me, I think 98/2 would be good too. I always feel all wrinkled in something 100% cotton.

95-5 feels like rubber, 98-2 is perfect in that the color won't fade and the fabric won't shrink or stretch out of shape.

I totally agree that the 95/5 feels like rubber. I don't buy any of the 95/5 tops anymore. I think the 98/2 would be a good option.

I agree. I hate that there's so much spandex in just about everything, especially jeans! I don't want or need any spandex in my jeans.

I love Spandex in my jeans, hate it in my tops. The D&C tops pill more.

I absolutely HATE that 95/5 blend. It always feel rubbery, sticks in all the wrong places, and looks so cheap.

As far as turtleneck and tee shirts..I like cotton/poly blend. I hate spandex in my tops. they are way to clingy and shows all my fat bulges. Now if I were thinner, I may go for spandex. Like that's going to happen anytime soon.Smile

I would have liked to voice my opinion, too. This is exactly my preference also.

I prefer cotton/poly blends; therefore I shop elsewhere for my tops. No spandex in my blouses/tees ever.

I prefer my tops to be made of : cotton/poly blend or cotton/rayon blend but NOT the cotton/spandex blend.

I don't think the 95/5 is comfortable & do not own any of them anymore they are like wearing a rubber band. I will not buy them.

In most clothing, I like 65% cotton, 30% poly, 5% spandex. Jeans, 98% cotton, 2% spandex. Rayon ends up pilling. They are using too much rayon and acrylic these days.

I don't remember a poll, so it's a safe bet that I did not participate. But, I like a little spandex in all my clothes. I don't like 100% cotton anything - it sags and bags. I don't have a preference on the ratio, just give me the SPANDEX baby, LOL!

I buy only 100% cotton - I live in florida and need fabrics to be as cool as possible.

I much prefer 95% 5%. I rarely buy all cotton.

All cotton stretches out terribly and bags out and doesn't hold it shape.

For jeans, I don't want anything other than cotton and spandex and no more than 2% spandex.

I also love 100% cotton in knits and wovens. I don't generally have a shrinkage problem or a problem with cotton stretching out of shape or losing it's shape.

Some of my favorite sweaters are 100% cotton from the Gap and I've had them for years without any problem at all.

100% cotton only is my preference. Don't care for spandex in any article of clothing.

I do not prefer 100% cotton anything because it usually has to be ironed and are prone to shrink. I like any material that has polyester or nylon or some spandex. Anything that you do not have to iron and is less likely to shrink.
