Tissue Weight Tees and Turtlenecks at Target.com

Started 1314629902.627 in Fashion Talk | Last reply 1314722556.813 by Brinklii

I've been looking for tissue weight turtlenecks, and I know some of you mentioned that you wanted tissue weight tees also. They are available on target.com. I just ordered three. Some of them are on sale. They are having trouble with their site today, so if it tells you they are out of stock, don't believe it. I called. They are just transferring things to a new site. Also there is free shipping with a $50 order, and $5.00 off a $50 order with promo code 177QSLJ2. You can get both the free shipping and the $5.00 off.

These are great. Thanks! I need to order some more. Mine usually only last one season. The tissue weight is great, but not that durable. Oh well, I still love them.

Thanks Tabbychic,

Also, if you have AAA roadside assistance, you can get 10% off target online purchases. I think you have to access Target through AAA's website. Happy shopping.

lawdiva ~~ I didn't remember that. I always forget about the discounts through AAA and AARP. Thanks for reminding me! In this day and age, I want all the discounts I can get!

I wouldn't expect that they will last more than one season though. The quality simply won't be there!

I found basic, v-neck, and even lighter weight tissue "boyfriend" t's this summer at Target for about $6-$8. Really, who cares if they only last one season????? I also found them at Old Navy one week this summer for $3. I now have so many t's, but hey, $3!!!! How can you NOT buy them??? Regular, better quality, more expensive t's may only last a couple seasons anyway, and each year they are a little different-length, neckline, etc., so why pay the higher prices?

I also bought some Liz Claiborne 100% cotton, nice t's on sale for about $17-23 each that were tagged at about $35-45 each. They were perfect when I bought them and had nice details like buttons or ruffles. After I washed them, they shrunk up so short that they are uncomfortable for me to wear. I never wear them and have already sadly decided to put them in the giveaway bag. I'm still wearing and loving the $3 t's!!! Long, comfy, perfect. Go figure.

I'm with you, for the price, who cares if they only last one season? Also, I wash things like that with my delicates and dry on very low. They're kind of like the proverbial white tee shirt that you throw out every year because they look dingy.

I have a few of their tissue tees that are somewhat decorated, they have held up very well, they are the tagless ones in the junior dept with all the hip logos, but they have some modest wearable ones as well.

I really like the Target t-necks. They are fitted and long.

Tissue weight tees???? Aren't most of them cheap and lightweight these days? I'm not looking to embrace the cheapness of garments right now. I'm actually looking for retailers who still sell quality.

Let me know if you suddenly become interesting.

I'm with you, what is the reason for the "tissue weight"? I see thru this stuff and I put it right back down. They had some adorable cardigans but I could see through them and wouldn't buy them. Am I missing something???

Tabbychic,

ITA - it's all about the discounts! I have also been known to forget about AAA & AARP and other CC rewards in the past - not any more!

I like the tissueweight to wear underneath sweaters or other garments under which I want another layer, but not a heavy one.

I've gotten a ton of lightweight t's and t'necks from Target when they've been on sale, used them for a year or so, then had to toss them. When I want to get better quality or a thicker texture, I head to The Gap, L.L. Bean, Land's End, Eddie Bauer, or The Loft.

winamac1 ~~ The brand is Mossimo (target.com), but if you have AAA, so through there for extra discounts. I use them for layering. There are so any cute bulkier sweaters these days...often with shorter sleeves. I don't want to add more bulk (and more heat), so these tissue weight tees are awesome for layering. I wash them on gentle or handwash cycle and dry on low. I take them out of the drier before they are totally dry and hang them up. I have some from last year, and they are in great shape.
