DG2 Jeans.... Size Up or Down?

Started 1312145338.91 in Fashion Talk | Last reply 1312323783.877 by winamac1

I'm thinking of buying a pair of the DG2 jeans, can't decide what size to buy. Half say size up and the other say size down! Any experience and advice would be appreciated!

These jeans are great but I found it's best to size down. The waist is very generous and I also had to return my first pair for a Petite ( even though I'm 5'7"). Now that I know what fits, I love them!!! They are really comfortable!!!

I carry my weight in my stomach and I size down 1 size from my regular brick & mortar store size. I do not size up on her jeans.

If you like them to fit snugly (which skinny jeans should) choose your lowest size. ie hovering between sizes -- choose the lower of the two. I can't wear her jeans -- lower waist pants don't work for me. Just an FYI

Try one pair at your regular size and see how they fit...if you're not happy return them and size down.
That is what I did 2 years ago..love her jeans, not a fan of the skinny leg at all and I am not overweight . Just don't like that look. If you have a model type figure long and very lean they look ok. But so many people have bowed legs etc. and it is not an attractive look.IMO I also question the comment about her pants sitting below the waist.. not DG2's they fit at the waist at least that has been my experience.

They run big-size down!

Wish it, dream it. dare it, do it!

Always size down due to the huge amount of spandex in her pants.

I have a lot of her jeans. Well, not many compared to QVC, but maybe 8 or 10 pair of DG2 jeans. One thing you need to know (at least my idea is) that at QVC a 1X is more like a 2X at HSN. It is more difficult for me to figure out the size at HSN. Most of her pants I buy a 2X. I have also found that her pants are more the same size in the waist and the hips. She always goes on and on about how her weight is mainly in her hips, stomach and waist. Maybe t hat's why the waist doesn't cut in more. Another thing I've found is that the distance between the waist and crotch is short. So I am constantly pulling up the pants. In order to be able to wear her pants, I purchased the suspender-like things that are short and are made for belt loops in the back of your pants. Let me try to phrase that differently. You know how often times there is a gap in the back of jeans because the waist is too big? These suspender-like things (I think I purchased them at QVC) have the claw clasp on both ends and fit in two loops and close up the gap. I know it sounds like I'm talking in riddles (welcome to my world), but getting back to your original question, I'd say to size down unless lots of your weight is around your waist.

Size down the 2 is more like a 4-almost a 6

Another post to size down. I have a love/hate for these jeans because of that extreme stretch. I prefer my Chicos if I'm wanting to dress nicer.

Let me know if you suddenly become interesting.

I was even able to size down and I'm a pear shape. They still didn't work for me but definitely size down.

The last time I saw Colleen L. presenting the jeans with Diane, she said she went down 2 sizes and the jeans didn't look tight on her at all. I don't understand why that's a selling point but whatever.

I wear my regular size. Some of them are a little looser, but I don't like tight jeans, so I stick with my regular size. I'd rather have a little baggy than too tight.
